We're looking for a detail-oriented and deeply collaborative Senior UX Designer capable of researching, developing, validating and executing experience strategies across teams, initiatives and channels to ultimately deliver a world-class print-on-demand fabric and wallpaper online shopping experience. 
 
The ideal candidate is willing to be a hands-on generalist and have demonstrated proficiency in UX design for e-commerce, plus experience in user research methodologies. The candidate will play a key role in designing digital e-commerce and partner experiences for Spoonflower.com and other internal systems. The role will also include experience strategy and research as needed. This role will report to the Director of Product Management for Spoonflower.com and collaborate heavily with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders and our end users in an agile process, to deliver high-quality UX thinking, research and design work that meets user needs while balancing business and technology goals. 
 
What You'll Do Here:<ul><li>
Directly inform end user experience from both an e-commerce and partner perspective</li><li>
Identify and enable UX strategies to not only improve specific digital products and services but also the full end-to-end user experience</li><li>
Play a leadership role across projects to make critical design decisions, provide guidance to other UX designers when needed, and collaborate with stakeholders to align design efforts with overall business goals</li><li>
Apply UX best practices and user research methods to inform designs across e-commerce and partner experiences</li><li>
Engage internal business partners in identifying opportunities, ideating solutions to solve for customer problems, prototyping and defining appropriate designs as part of a test and learn approach</li><li>
Review/QA work prior to deployment to ensure original designs were implemented correctly, that it still meets the required objectives and meets the design standards</li><li>
Lead and mentor other more junior members of the UX team as well as educate the broader organization in UX principles and strategies</li></ul> 
The Skills You'll Bring:<ul><li>
Has a both deep and broad understanding of UX research and design principles and strategies, with expertise in one or more areas</li><li>
5+ years of related work experience in UX design and/or UI design</li><li>
A solid understanding of Website Accessibility Standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG)</li><li>
Experience with A/B and multivariant website testing</li><li>
Bachelor's degree (preferred emphasis on Human Centered Design, Human Computer Interaction), or equivalent experience</li><li>
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others</li><li>
Able to work East Cost core hours (9-3 Eastern)</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
3+ years of experience with user research, personas, journey/empathy maps, design thinking, interaction design, information architecture and visual design</li><li>
Strong understanding of agile and research integration (user stories, requirements gathering, and testing)</li><li>
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills</li><li>
Familiarity and comfort using tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence</li><li>
Ability to problem-solve and work independently</li><li>

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$115,000 - $162,750]
Connecticut and New York: [$115,000 - $149,000]
Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$115,000 - $138,000]
Nevada: [$108,000 - $149,000]
Maryland and New Jersey: [$124,250 - $149,000]
Hawaii : [$108,000 - $129,750]

Senior UX Designer, Spoonflower

 The Buyer II is responsible for sourcing, procurement, and management of raw materials supporting Shutterfly products. Responsibilities will include efficient execution of purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining inventory across multiple sites, quality assurance and working with internal teams supporting pricing and inventory availability.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities Include
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform standard procurement tasks such as: reviewing forecast and inventory, placing purchase orders, managing inbound deliveries, resolving discrepancies, meeting with strategic suppliers on cadence to review forecast and long-term supply commitments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain master data in SAP S4Hana and perform ad-hoc checks to ensure data integrity
 </li>
 <li>
 Root cause purchase order issues, interfacing as necessary with functional departments (i.e. Material and Demand Planning, Shutterfly Partner Fulfillers, Warehouse, Quality, Accounts Payable, and Manufacturing)
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate transportation of purchases as needed and follows up through delivery
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitate material returns to supplier due to quality issues, delivery terms, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other duties, ad hoc analyses, and special projects as assigned by manager

 Requirements

 College degree or 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer or similar direct material procurement experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 MS Office experience. Excel knowledge is a must
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience using ERP System (SAP S4Hana experience plus)
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to present data and analyses in an organized, clear, and concise manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing
 </li>
 <li>
 Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
