STS Metals is a unified organization composed of five businesses working together to deliver high-quality titanium, stainless and alloy steel and nickel products. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading all site-level HR functions and serving as a trusted advisor to plant leadership and employees. This position oversees recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefit administration while promoting a workplace culture consistent with our values and operational priorities.
This is a Regular, Full-Time, Exempt position. Typical schedule is Monday&ndash;Friday, with occasional additional hours to support operational or employee needs.
Principal Duties<ul><li>
Serve as the primary HR business partner for the plant, ensuring alignment of HR programs with company goals.</li><li>
Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and retention for hourly and salaried employees.</li><li>
Maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and HR documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.</li><li>
Support leaders in performance management, employee relations, and corrective action, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.</li><li>
Conduct and document workplace investigations; partner with corporate HR on escalated matters.</li><li>
Oversee employee benefits, leaves of absence, and annual enrollment communication.</li><li>
Partner with management on workforce planning, succession, and engagement initiatives.</li><li>
Coordinate training, development, and compliance programs to support a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture.</li><li>
Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>
Support compensation reviews, pay adjustments, and retention initiatives.</li><li>
Ensure HR records, personnel files, and system data are maintained accurately and confidentially.</li><li>
Act as a cultural ambassador, modeling integrity, accountability, and teamwork.</li><li>
May supervise HR Coordinator, Recruiter, or other administrative support roles as assigned.</li></ul>
Education and Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.</li><li>
Minimum 8&ndash;10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership in a manufacturing or industrial setting.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance (multi-state preferred).</li><li>
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.</li><li>
Proven ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.</li><li>
Exceptional communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employee relations, and performance management</li></ul></div>
