Position Summary:

The HR Specialist provides key Human Resources support to SIG employees, managers and Human Resource Business Partners in various areas including, but not limited to, HR processes, employee relations, administrative functions, and communication.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Serve as the front-line resource for answering employee's general questions including but not limited to, interpretations of human resources policies and procedures, HR System navigation questions, payroll, leave of absence, benefits; Directs employees to the appropriate HRBP to address complex questions and/or follow-up to ensure employee's concerns have been addressed.</li>
<li>Aid employees through the voluntary resignation, and retirement processes. Educate exiting employees regarding their benefits, equity and final pay implications related to resignation.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.</li>
<li>Facilitates HR system transactions including but not limited to terminations, pay changes, promotions, and employee data changes</li>
<li>Ability to be flexible, a team player and interface professionally with all levels of employees, including taking personal responsibility for customer satisfaction, providing clear explanations and making an extra effort to satisfy customer needs.</li>
<li>Assists with the creation, development, implementation, and maintenance of new or existing HR policies, and companywide policies</li>
<li>High level of professionalism, especially in maintaining discretion in confidential situations</li>
<li>Assists with planning and execution of special events such as employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.</li>
<li>Complete I-9 documentation and verification of related employment documents</li>
<li>Other duties as required.</li>
</ul>
Education/Experience &amp; Skills:
<ul>
<li>Associates / Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or experience equivalent</li>
<li>2+ years previous experience in Human Resources</li>
<li>Capable of handling difficult situations by demonstrating professionalism and confidentiality.</li>
<li>Maintain flexibility and a positive attitude toward innovation and change</li>
<li>Coordinates multiple projects, prioritizes effectively, including producing high quality work under tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Ability to manage priorities in a changing environment</li>
<li>Ability to interact effectively in person and in writing with people of various professional and cultural backgrounds</li>
<li>Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.</li>
<li>Team-player; always open to offer innovative and constructive ideas to continue our team's success, processes and efficiency.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.</li>
<li>Must comply with all work exposure EH&amp;S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.</li>
