Position Summary: The Quality Engineer I will ensure the overall quality of manufactured products, tests processes, create documentation, devise quality tests, and define the criteria a test result should meet. This individual will also monitor quality standards and track performance trends to identify areas of needed improvement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and investigate and resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.</li>
<li>Update control plans for correct gauges and order of operation.</li>
<li>Collect data for runoff and gauge study.</li>
<li>Generate and drive to completion CARs as assigned by Supervisor.</li>
<li>Able to review and disposition non-compliant material of minor issue complexity.</li>
<li>Assess issue culpability with assistance from senior staff as needed.</li>
<li>Identify features for inspection and correctly assign dimensional values and tolerances specified in print to a given feature.</li>
<li>Develop and document ISO-compliant standards under direction of Senior Engineers.</li>
<li>Expected to contribute to primary areas of inspection for which training has been provided.</li>
<li>Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.</li>
<li>Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.</li>
<li>Follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.</li>
<li>Miscellaneous duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Education/Experience &amp; Skills:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 0-3 years of experience required.</li>
<li>Proficient in blueprint reading.</li>
<li>Understand the ISO process.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of the requirements of ATF compliance. Full understanding of the critical role ATF compliance plays in the continued health of the business.</li>
<li>Understand and work fluently with GD&amp;T symbology assigned per ASME Y14.5.</li>
<li>Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.</li>
<li>Complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and corrective action.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.</li>
<li>Must comply with all work exposure EH&amp;S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.</li>

Position Summary:
The Mechanical/Dimensional Inspector I, Machining Quality is responsible for the performance of routine mechanical inspections per the technical documentation provided using pre-trained/determined methods to determine product acceptability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and investigate/resolve discrepancies found during part inspection.</li>
<li>Locate appropriate programs, load components into inspection equipment, run basic inspection programs, and report results.</li>
<li>Identify features for inspection and correctly assign dimensional values and tolerances specified in print to a given feature.</li>
<li>Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.</li>
<li>May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.</li>
<li>May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.</li>
<li>Miscellaneous duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Education/Experience &amp; Skills:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Basic proficiency in blueprint reading.</li>
<li>Familiarity with and basic understanding of GD&amp;T symbology assigned per ASME Y14.5.</li>
<li>Fluent in setup of simple parts and understanding of proper use of basic mechanical inspection equipment.</li>
<li>Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.</li>
<li>Expected to contribute in primary areas of inspection for which training has been provided.</li>
<li>Strong time management skills.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and corrective action.</li>
<li>Participate in 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain work area in accordance with 5S standard.</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Regularly perform repetitive tasks.</li>
<li>Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.</li>
<li>Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.</li>
<li>The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.</li>
<li>Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.</li>
<li>Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.</li>
<li>Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.</li>
<li>Must comply with all work exposure EH&amp;S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.</li>
