Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Utility Production Specialist are responsible for cutting and automatically sewing products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and equipment, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly cut and automatically sew medical devices as well as the knitting/inspection and packaging of items.TWO SCHEDULES TO CHOOSE FROM - BOTH IN 1ST SHIFT:<ul><li>Monday to Thursday: 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If you have to work overtime, it will be on Friday.</li><li>Monday to Thursday: 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you have to work overtime, it will be an additional 4 hours on Friday.</li></ul>*Overtime work will not be on a Sunday!PAY PLUS BONUSES:<ul><li>$19.16 per hour with an increase every six months during the first year</li><li>Opportunity to earn $100 Attendance Bonus payments per quarter.*</li></ul>*Subject to Company's Attendance Policy.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:These duties and responsibilities are not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.<ul><li>Cuts and automatic sews products by using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and equipment, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly cut and automatically sew medical devices.</li><li>Knitting/packing of manufactured items to include all components/labeling necessary for sale.</li><li>Reports problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.</li><li>Works closely with support staff such as Technicians, Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.</li><li>Complies with all OSHA and company safety rules.</li><li>Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.</li></ul>o Interacts with external and internal customers in a timely manner conducive to continued positive relationships.o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.<ul><li>Demonstrates effective communication methods.</li></ul>o Production Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications.o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.<ul><li>Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISA standards, and Federal, State and local laws.</li><li>Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.</li><li>Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent/GED.</li><li>Prefer someone with some experience as an industrial sewer or machine operator.</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This job involves moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the environment is low to moderate. Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Quality Technician &amp; Safety Coordinator is responsible for following quality assurance procedures, conducting the auditing/inspections of our products in the production areas, identifying production, process, or product issues, and reporting. This position actively supports the continuous improvement activities. This position is also responsible for coordinating the Safety Program in conjunction with the external safety consultant.
SCHEDULE:<ul><li>Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.</li><li>Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.</li></ul>
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.<ul><li>Assists the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy ISO documents. Ensure retention policies are followed.</li><li>Effectively and efficiently conducts Finished Goods, In-Process, Label and Raw material audits/inspections of products (this includes detailed documentation and summary reporting).</li><li>Assists in the preparation of any QMS audits.</li><li>Controls non-conforming product and ensure proper disposition activities are performed.</li><li>Conducts scrap investigation and follow up activities.</li><li>Ensure customer complaints are documented and investigated.</li><li>Conducts periodic calibration and testing activities.</li><li>Conducts daily quality reviews with direct Supervisor/Manager and Production Management.</li><li>Accurately maintains filing system within established guidelines.</li><li>Actively participates in quality continuous improvement activities and policies.</li><li>Fulfills documentation and reporting requirements for the Quality Management program.</li><li>Actively participates with team in developing performance improvement targets for quality, service, and efficiency to ensure Quality program is achieving its goals.</li><li>Maintains production Accept/Reject Limit Samples.</li><li>Inspects returned and reworked goods and dispositions accordingly.</li><li>Ensures Returned Good Reports are validated for accuracy and reports any discrepancy.</li><li>Ensures quality of work conforms to established company standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Investigates, monitors, documents, and reports all quality issues.</li><li>Coordinates safety requirements in conjunction with the external safety consultant.</li><li>Supports physical inventory counts - Year End and Cycle counts as instructed in accordance with set procedures and planning schedules.</li><li>Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.</li></ul>

Requirements:

EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>A high school diploma and/or equivalent in education and experience.</li><li>Working knowledge of and experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control</li><li>Experience in working with ISO Procedures/ISO Standards is preferred.</li><li>Working knowledge of Safety is preferred.</li></ul>
SKILLS:<ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.<ul><li>Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend for long periods of time.</li><li>Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and climb.</li><li>Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.</li><li>Specific vision abilities required for this includes: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.</li></ul>
