Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will support the accurate processing of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Your contributions will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, facilitate smooth payroll operations, and support overall financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise within a collaborative and close environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using QuickBooks Desktop.</li><li>Perform data entry for daily truck loads (10-key typing)</li><li>Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial records.</li><li>Assist with month-end closing processes.</li><li>Manage payroll processing tasks utilizing QuickBooks Desktop to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.</li><li>Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.</li><li>Conduct data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing) and perform double-entry bookkeeping to uphold financial integrity.</li><li>Contribute to budgeting processes, tax documentation preparation, and audit support activities as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in a small business accounting environment with familiarity in financial concepts such as debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation.</li><li>Hands-on experience with accounting software, QuickBooks Desktop.</li><li>Strong understanding of payroll management, along with experience in payroll processing.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with strong data entry skills; ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately.</li><li>Basic knowledge of tax regulations related to financial reporting is preferred.</li><li>Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and financial review tasks.</li><li>Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment; excellent organizational skills are essential.
