Ideal applicants may include:<ul><li>Veterinary Technicians</li><li>Individuals who have worked in a veterinary hospital</li><li>Kennel Assistants</li><li>Dog Trainers</li><li>Individuals with dog training experience (formal certification not required)</li><li>Individuals who have worked in animal rescues or shelters</li><li>Experienced pet care professionals</li></ul>Experience working in structured, clinical, rescue, or training environments is strongly preferred.Candidates who understand animal behavior, safe handling techniques, and structured care protocols will thrive in this role.Schedule &amp; AvailabilityThis is a part-time employee position with hours based on client demand.Our service hours are 8:00 AM &ndash; 9:00 PM daily.We are specifically seeking candidates who have:<ul><li>Morning to midday availability (8:00 AM &ndash; 4:00 PM)</li><li>Evening availability (4:00 PM &ndash; 9:00 PM)</li><li>Overnight availability (8:00 PM &ndash; 8:00 AM)</li><li>Weekend availability (partial or full-day coverage)</li></ul>Additional early morning and mid-day availability is a strong plus.Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>$15&ndash;$17 per hour</li><li>100% of tips go directly to the team member providing care (typically $1&ndash;$5 per hour)</li><li>Weekly pay via direct deposit</li><li>Pet insurance coverage while on duty</li><li>Workers&rsquo; compensation coverage</li><li>Opportunities for advancement and leadership roles for dependable, motivated team members</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide high-quality care for dogs and cats</li><li>Perform dog walks (20&ndash;60 minutes), feedings, and enrichment</li><li>Administer medications when required</li><li>Clean accidents and manage pet-related messes</li><li>Scoop litter boxes and refresh water</li><li>Send detailed visit reports using our mobile app</li><li>Communicate clearly with clients and management</li><li>Participate in required training and ongoing education</li><li>Represent Sit, Stay &amp; Wait professionally in clients&rsquo; homes and neighborhoods</li><li>Occasionally support local marketing and outreach efforts</li></ul>RequirementsApplicants must meet the following:<ul><li>Pet care experience (professional, volunteer, or personal)</li><li>Comfortable handling both dogs and cats</li><li>Confident working with a variety of breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels</li><li>Experience caring for senior pets or pets with medical/behavioral needs preferred</li><li>Strong punctuality, reliability, and accountability</li><li>Ability to work independently while following structured company policies</li><li>Ability to walk briskly for up to 60 minutes</li><li>Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to climb at least three flights of stairs</li><li>Reliable personal transportation</li><li>Newer smartphone required (TracFones are not compatible)</li><li>Comfortable using scheduling apps and digital communication tools</li><li>Ability to remain calm and professional in unexpected situations</li></ul>What Else Should You Know?This position goes far beyond simply playing with pets.Team members should expect:<ul><li>Walking dogs in all weather conditions</li><li>Caring for senior pets and pets with special needs</li><li>Cleaning accidents</li><li>Managing schedule changes as client needs evolve</li><li>Maintaining professional standards at all times</li></ul>We provide thorough training on our systems, safety protocols, and care standards.
