Skandinavia Contemporary Interiors has an immediate opening for a full-time home furnishing sales/interior designer who is outgoing, enthusiastic and have a passion for design and quality - helping our customers create the perfect feel and atmosphere in their homes while maintaining high customer service standards at our South Austin location.<br>
</div><div><b>Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>Take a consultative selling approach to building customer relationships as you help prospective buyer's select home furnishing pieces that best suit their needs.</li>
<li>Provide design services in showroom for furniture, accessories and rug selection including finish, color customization and style options.</li>
<li>Proven sales record.</li>
<li>Generate sales as a result of in-store and in-home consultations.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain expert product knowledge on all of our merchandise.</li>
<li>Demonstrate design skills, professional communication, and follow-up skills.</li>
<li>Energy, enthusiasm, and patience backed by an entrepreneurial spirit.</li>
<li>Maintain the appearance of the store at all times.</li>
<li>Attend and participate in weekly store meetings and individual meetings.</li>
<li>Develop expert knowledge of our procedures and computer systems.</li>
<li>Must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and as a team.</li>
<li>Collaborate on posts for social media.</li>
</ul><div><b>Skills/Talents Required:</b> <b>Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.</b><br>
</div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree preferred; HS Diploma required.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years of proven retail sales/customer service &ndash;furniture experience and background in interior design strongly preferred.</li>
<li>High-end apparel and luxury retail sales experience considered.</li>
<li>Exceptional sales and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communications.</li>
<li>Bilingual a plus.</li>
<li>Be able to lift 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Ability to work well in a team concept and on your own.</li>
<li>Optimistic, outgoing and an energetic personality.</li>
