</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ABOUT THE POSITION</b></h2>
<p>The <b>Maintenance Electrician </b>position is responsible for assisting with the overall electrical maintenance of the company&rsquo;s equipment. A description of the duties includes:</p>
<ul><li>Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas;</li>
<li>Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation;</li>
<li>Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment;</li>
<li>Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment;</li>
<li>Informs appropriate management of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved;</li>
<li>Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed;</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining clean facilities, and complying with all state and federal regulations pertaining to a safe workplace, housekeeping, and all activities that require regulation compliance;</li>
<li>Attends training and safety meetings;</li>
<li>Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meeting commitments;</li>
<li>Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management;</li>
<li>Maintains safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements;</li>
<li>Present a clean and professional appearance;</li>
<li>Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.</li>

<p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</b></h2>
<ul><li>1 to 2 years of related electrical maintenance experience required</li>
<li>Must reside in Southwest Kansas</li>
<li>Basic computer operation skills.</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required.
</li><li>The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, toxic chemicals, and grain dust. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock and explosives.</li>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required stand, walk, sit climb, kneel, crawl, or balance. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds. The employee may frequently need to climb ladders (may range from 20&rsquo; to 180&rsquo;) and stairs.
