Job Summary: 
The Production Planner Scheduler Supervisor is a senior-level role responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role coordinates cross-functionally with procurement, operations, logistics, and quality to meet customer delivery requirements, minimize inventory, and optimize resource utilization. The Planner/Scheduler Supervisor plays a strategic role in capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Develop and manage mid- to long-term master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.</li><li>
Translate demand into production work orders, ensuring availability of materials and labor.</li><li>
Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability for production. Identify material supply issues and communicate with management potential schedule impacts and develop recovery strategies.
</li><li>Optimize production workflows by leveling workloads across work centers and resolving capacity constraints.</li><li>
Monitor production performance daily, identifying delays or bottlenecks.</li><li>
Analyze and Maintain schedules using ERP/MRP system.</li><li>
Ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining optimal inventory levels.</li><li>
Lead scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams to align priorities and address conflicts.</li><li>
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling and planning processes.</li><li>
Create reports and dashboards on key KPIs (e.g., schedule adherence, capacity utilization).</li><li>
Support new product introductions by integrating requirements into production plans.</li><li>
Train and mentor junior planners or schedulers.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, M2M).</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.</li><li>
Familiarity with demand planning tools and forecasting techniques.</li><li>
Advanced Excel or data analytics experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).</li></ul>
Work Environment:<ul><li>
Office and manufacturing floor environments.</li><li>
May require occasional travel to supplier or customer</li></ul>
