ABOUT USSleepologie Health and Wellness is an independent sleep medicine practice in Chicago. We provide thoughtful, evidence-based care for patients with sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, circadian rhythm disorders, and other sleep concerns.Our practice uses a modern hybrid model with telemedicine, in-person visits, home sleep testing, and insurance-based care. We are growing, building new programs, and looking for a Physician Assistant who wants to be part of a team that is valued.WHY THIS ROLE IS A STRONG OPPORTUNITYThis is a strong opportunity for a PA who wants more than a routine urgent care or high-volume primary care job. Sleep medicine is a specialized field, and the right person will be trained and supported while helping patients make meaningful improvements in their daily lives.You will work with a board-certified neurologist and sleep medicine physician in a practice that is growing carefully and intentionally. Your work will help expand patient visits, improve access to care, and strengthen the clinical team.For the right PA, this can become a long-term role with bonus opportunities, growth potential after one year, and the chance to build expertise in an area of medicine that affects nearly every part of health and quality of life.WHAT YOU WILL DO<ul><li>Provide patient visits by telemedicine and in person for sleep medicine patients.</li><li>Evaluate and follow patients with obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, restless legs syndrome, periodic limb movement disorder, circadian rhythm disorders, and poor sleep quality.</li><li>Support CPAP follow-up, CPAP adherence, mask and pressure concerns, and patient education around sleep apnea treatment.</li><li>Assist with insomnia care, including CBT-I/CBTI or behavioral sleep support when appropriate and within training.</li><li>Review patient histories, sleep study results, treatment progress, medication responses, and patient concerns.</li><li>Document visits clearly and promptly in the EMR.</li><li>Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and outside partners through the EMR, email, chat, phone, and other practice systems.</li><li>Help patients feel listened to, respected, and confident about their care plan.</li><li>Work with the clinical and administrative team to keep patient care moving smoothly.</li><li>Participate in practice growth as new sleep programs and patient services are developed.</li></ul>WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR<ul><li>A licensed Physician Assistant in Illinois, or a PA able to obtain Illinois licensure before starting.</li><li>Reliable, timely, hardworking, honest, and friendly.</li><li>Warm and patient-facing, with the ability to be liked and trusted by patients.</li><li>A team player who can communicate well with physicians, staff, patients, and vendors.</li><li>A multitasker who can keep up with clinical work, documentation, communication, and follow-through.</li><li>Comfortable learning a specialty area and asking good questions when needed.</li><li>Interested in a collaborative practice, not a cold corporate environment.</li><li>Steady, professional, and able to represent the practice well.</li></ul>EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING<ul><li>Graduation from an accredited PA program is required.</li><li>Illinois PA license is required before independent patient care begins.</li><li>One or more years of sleep medicine experience is preferred.</li><li>Experience with sleep apnea, CPAP follow-up, insomnia, CBT-I/CBTI, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, RLS, PLMD, or related neurology/pulmonary care is a plus.</li><li>We will consider a strong PA without direct sleep medicine experience if the person is bright, reliable, patient-friendly, and ready to learn.</li><li>On-the-job training will be provided.</li></ul>COMPUTER AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS<ul><li>Comfort using an EMR/EHR system.</li><li>Comfort communicating by email, chat, phone, and patient portal.</li><li>Basic spreadsheet comfort is helpful.</li><li>Ability to print, scan, upload, review documents, and follow digital workflows.</li><li>Clear written communication and timely documentation are important.</li></ul>SCHEDULE<ul><li>Up to 40 hours per week.</li><li>Full-time or part-time may be considered.</li><li>The role includes telemedicine and in-person patient care at the Lincoln Park clinic.</li><li>Two part-time PAs may be considered if that creates the right schedule and fit.</li></ul>PAY AND BENEFITS<ul><li>Starting pay: $50-$55/hour, depending on experience and fit.</li><li>Alternative compensation structure may be $50/hour plus bonus compensation if criteria are met.</li><li>Bonus opportunities are available.</li><li>Full-time may include W2 employment and benefits.</li><li>Part-time benefits may vary depending on the final arrangement.</li><li>On-the-job training will be provided.</li></ul>WHAT MAKES SLEEPOLOGIE DIFFERENTSleepologie is collaborative, growing, and building a team that is valued.
