We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Design Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai, UAE, and drive the design of cutting-edge solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.The Role: Solar Design EngineerAs a Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical design and engineering of solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing performance.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop detailed solar PV system designs, including single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment specifications.</li><li>Conduct performance modeling and analysis using specialized software to maximize energy yield.</li><li>Ensure all designs comply with the latest regulations set by DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) and DM (Dubai Municipality).</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure the smooth execution of the design from concept to completion.</li><li>Prepare technical documentation and reports for project tenders and regulatory submissions.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical) or a closely related discipline.</li><li>3 to 5 years' experience in solar PV design and engineering.</li><li>Expertise in PVsyst for performance simulation.</li><li>Proficiency in design tools such as Helioscope and PV sketchup Design (or similar CAD software).</li><li>Strong knowledge of DEWA and DM regulations for solar projects in the UAE is essential.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>A competitive salary package.</li><li>Supportive and professional working environment.</li><li>Opportunity to work on large-scale and innovative solar projects.</li></ul>How to ApplyTo apply for this position, please submit your CV and cover letter to jp@smeuae.com.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):<ul><li>PVsyst, Helioscope, PV sketchup Design proficiency.
