The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap&rsquo;s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include consumers (Snapchatters, their families and their communities), advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate multidisciplinary team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.</div><div></div><div>
We&rsquo;re looking for a MENA Communications Specialist to join our team in Riyadh!</div><div></div><div>
What you'll do:</div><ul><li><div>
Be responsible for executing our KSA market communications plan, working closely with the MENA Communications team (Head of MENA Communications and Communications Manager, UAE) and the Managing Director, KSA.</div></li><li><div>
Have responsibility for shaping and managing:</div><ul><li><div>
Proactive reputation and thought leadership campaigns: including developing campaigns, partnerships and thought leadership that highlights our investment and contribution in KSA..</div></li><li><div>
Advertiser communications: educating brands and creative agencies about our products, strategy and creative campaigns, driving share of voice in key trade and vertical sector press (including retail, sport, luxury and FMCG).</div></li><li><div>
Product communications: including product updates, launches and a program of proactive engagement, briefings and editorial boards for tech, business, and consumer press and influencers.</div></li><li><div>
Proactive consumer campaigns: identifying relevant cultural hooks, moments and campaign platforms to show how Snapchat is part of the fabric of daily life for our community.</div></li><li><div>
Creator storytelling: Tell the story of our growing and diverse community of KSA Snap Stars, how they use the platform, make a living and why Snapchat is the most authentic place for creators and public figures to engage and build community.</div></li><li><div>
Managing our consumer influencer strategy: developing new ways to tell our story through curated campaigns and partnerships with relevant creators and influencers.</div></li></ul></li><li><div>
Organise press briefings, develop media materials, prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements.</div></li><li><div>
Build and nurture key media relationships in the region.</div></li><li><div>
Collaborate with and manage our agency partner to deliver a drumbeat of moments and coverage aligned to our business goals.</div></li><li><div>
Be a critical partner to cross-functional teams across the business, including Marketing, Talent &amp; Partnerships, Creative Strategy, Business Insights and MENA Sales - working closely to develop plans that support clear business objectives and needs.</div></li><li><div>
Work closely with local spokespeople to build and implement impactful thought leadership programs.</div></li><li><div>
Serve as a spokesperson for the media and be a trusted contact for reporters who rely on you for timely, accurate information.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</div><ul><li><div>
Deep understanding of the media and social landscape in KSA - including national, advertising, consumer and technology media, cultural influencers and creators.</div></li><li><div>
Experience of working on relevant communications programmes either in-house or in an agency in KSA.</div></li><li><div>
Experience working with creators to deliver creative content and campaigns.</div></li><li><div>
Strong news judgement and relationships with media.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to prioritise effectively to deliver against business priorities</div></li><li><div>
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.</div></li><li><div>
Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally and manage external partners.</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Minimum qualifications:</div><ul><li><div>
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience</div></li><li><div>
Fluency in English and Arabic</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
