</div><div>Join us in this exciting role providing construction phase support services for the construction of a weapons storage and maintenance facility. We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Inspection Professional for an <b>18-month</b>, full-time position supporting the Corps of Engineers, Seattle District.<br>
</div><div><b>*This position requires a construction background and computer proficiency. Construction QA experience is required.</b><br>
</div><div><b>Location:</b> Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana<br>
</div><div><b>Job Type: </b>Full-time for 18 months, 40 hours per week.<br>
</div><div><b>Lodging and Per Diem will be provided.</b><br>

<b>Key Responsibilities</b>
</div><div>As a QAR, you will provide on-site quality assurance and compliance monitoring throughout the construction process. Duties include:<br>
</div><ul><li><b>Plans &amp; Specifications Review</b><ul>
<li>Become thoroughly familiar with all contract documents, including plans, specifications, amendments, and submittals.</li>
<li>Attend post-award conferences to align administrative policies and project requirements.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>

<ul><li><b>Submittal Oversight</b><ul>
<li>Monitor the contractor&rsquo;s quality control system to ensure timely and accurate submittals.</li>
<li>Review all submittals for completeness, correctness, and compliance with contract requirements.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>
<div></div><br>
<ul><li><b>Construction Monitoring &amp; Inspection</b><ul>
<li>Verify adequacy and calibration of test equipment and adherence to testing standards.</li>
<li>Spot-check approved submittals during implementation.</li>
<li>Review daily Quality Control Reports (QCRs) and compare them to QA reports, reporting discrepancies to the COR.</li>
<li>Participate in the three-phase control process, attending preparatory and initial-phase meetings for critical features (mechanical, electrical, roofing, waterproofing).</li>
<li>Conduct site visits, inspections, and investigations; collect data and prepare detailed reports documenting findings.</li>
<li>Maintain a daily diary and submit accurate daily reports within one working day.</li></ul><br>

<ul><li><b>Deficiency Tracking</b><ul>
<li>Maintain and update a deficiency list, ensuring corrective actions are taken and documented.</li>
<li>Discuss all deficiencies with the COR.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>

<ul><li><b>CQC Program Monitoring</b><ul>
<li>Verify that the contractor&rsquo;s three-phase control system is correctly implemented.</li>
<li>Compare plans and specifications to actual site conditions, report discrepancies, and maintain a marked-up set of plans for reference.</li></ul><br>

<ul><li><b>Shop Drawing Verification</b><ul>
<li>Ensure all required shop drawings are submitted and approved.</li>
<li>Compare drawings to contract requirements and verify installed materials match approved drawings.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>

<ul><li><b>Safety Compliance</b><ul>
<li>Adhere to EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards.</li>
<li>Provide at least one safety observation in each daily report.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>
<div></div><br>
<ul><li><b>Environmental Oversight</b><ul>
<li>Review and monitor environmental submittals and permits.</li>
<li>Ensure proper execution of environmental controls (e.g., turbidity, air quality, endangered species monitoring) and verify compliance through daily reports.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>

<div><b>Work Environment:</b></div>
<ul><li>Work will be done outdoors and indoors. Candidate must be able to perform in the Montana weather conditions.</li></ul>
<div><b>Requirements</b><br>
</div> <ul><li><b>Experience:</b><ul>
<li>Minimum <b>4 years of construction-related experience</b>, including <b>2 years of continuous experience inspecting construction contract work</b> for similar projects.</li>
<li>Must also have <b>at least 2 years of experience in on-site quality assurance or quality control duties</b>, including safety oversight.</li></ul><br>
</li></ul>

<ul><li><b>Skills &amp; Capabilities:</b><ul>
<li>Ability to prepare detailed reports and perform basic field quality assurance tests.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <b>USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1)</b> and <b>OSHA standards</b>.</li>
<li>Physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods.</li>
<li>Able to work in adverse conditions (including foul weather) for extended periods.</li>
<li>Must be able to <b>oversee other contractor QA personnel</b> assigned to the same task order.</li></ul><br>

<ul><li><b>Additional Notes:</b><ul><li>
Exceptions to experience requirements may be granted at the Government&rsquo;s discretion.</li></ul>
</li></ul><div><b>Required Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul><li>NACI Clearance (or the ability to obtain it)</li>
<li>Strong analytical and communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office</li></ul></div></div>
