The Opportunity

We're seeking a Software Engineer &ndash; Associate to join our growing team and help shape the future of healthcare technology. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that power LTC pharmacies, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and improved patient outcomes.

Location: Hybrid &ndash; Pittsburgh, PA (Core office days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Reports to: Manager, Software Engineering

What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Perform software development tasks across web, mobile, and integrated systems</li>
<li>Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement innovative design patterns</li>
<li>Deliver clear, concise, and tested code following established standards</li>
<li>Contribute to CI/CD processes to ensure secure, high-quality software delivery</li>
<li>Debug issues, implement enhancements, and maintain application performance</li>
<li>Create technical documentation for new development and changes</li>
<li>Provide accurate effort estimates for assigned tasks</li>
<li>Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to meet quality standards</li>
<li>Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives) and ensure sprint goals are met</li>
<li>Engage in code reviews, seek mentorship, and continuously improve technical skills</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For

Required:
<ul>
<li>BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>Broad knowledge of core computer science concepts</li>
<li>Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language</li>
<li>Understanding of relational database modeling</li>
<li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively</li>
<li>Strong learning mindset</li>
<li>Familiarity with HIPAA requirements for data storage and transmission</li>
</ul>
Preferred:
<ul>
<li>Experience with agile development practices</li>
<li>Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing</li>
<li>Knowledge of web or mobile application development frameworks</li>
</ul>
