Sol&rsquo;s Jewelry and Loan is looking for a results-driven Sales Associate to be responsible for all sales job duties.
This individual will:
<ul><li>Work as part of a team to meet department and store objectives while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service</li>
<li>Be passionate about learning new things and wanting to become an expert at evaluating items</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Greet customers and improve customer engagement with merchandise by answering their questions and providing outstanding customer service</li>
<li>Actively seek out customers in store</li>
<li>Work closely with customers to assess their needs, provide assistance, and build a trust relationship that results in building a clientele base with repeat business</li>
<li>Remain knowledgeable about Sol&rsquo;s products to offer information, demonstrate features, answer questions, and be able to recommend the right solutions to our customers</li>
<li>Continually grow expertise on products offered and appropriate pricing ranges for product coming in on loan and going out for sale</li>
<li>Cross sell products</li>
<li>Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service</li>
<li>Resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction</li>
<li>Handle returns of merchandise</li>
<li>Operate cash registers, process credit cards, and manage financial transactions</li>
<li>Follow and assist in achieving store&rsquo;s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis</li>
<li>Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store&rsquo;s layout)</li>
<li>Receive merchandise including unloading/unpacking it and marking it with codes to be identified</li>
<li>Keep the selling floor stocked with merchandise and arrange displays that keep the customers engaged</li>
<li>Comply with inventory control procedures</li>
<li>Maintain the store area ensuring cleanliness and organization</li>
<li>Assist with answering the phone in a timely, professional manner</li>
<li>Adheres to all Sol&rsquo;s Jewelry and Loan safety policies and practices</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Ability to build rapport with customers</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul><li>High school degree; Associate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field would be a plus</li>
<li>Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices</li>
<li>Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role preferred</li>
<li>Able to comfortably greet customers and make small talk</li>
</ul>
Working Conditions
<ul><li>Sales floor or warehouse environment</li>
<li>Ability to work standing for long periods of time</li>
<li>Ability to walk up flights of stairs and/or work in confined spaces</li>
<li>Periodically works in outside weather conditions</li>
<li>Periodically works near moving mechanical parts and equipment*</li>
<li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Availability to work flexible shifts that may include weekend, holiday or evening work as needed</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>Sol&rsquo;s Jewelry and Loan will provide training and personal protective equipment as necessary.</li></ul>
