Scope:
The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of supply chain and operational strategies at the Louisville Distribution Center. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory control, labor planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer expectations. As a key operational leader, this position plays a critical role in driving execution, fostering employee engagement, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires a strong, visible leader who can inspire teams, coach and develop front-line leaders, and champion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Senior Operations Manager will also work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure the effective execution of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Louisville Operations team, including oversight of warehouse operations, labor planning, budgeting/P&amp;L, and execution of key initiatives.</li><li>
Manage a high-performing distribution environment that emphasizes clear expectations, accountability, and results-driven performance.</li><li>
Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to build a motivated, engaged, and capable workforce.</li><li>
Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and deliver measurable performance improvements.</li><li>
Develop, monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve targets for cost-per-unit, productivity, order accuracy, and service levels.</li><li>
Present complex operational concepts and performance insights to executive leadership in a clear and concise manner to support strategic decision-making.</li><li>
Act as a primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of shared goals.</li><li>
Collaborate directly with customers on special initiatives, scheduling adjustments, and evolving market needs.</li><li>
Make real-time operational adjustments to meet shifting business demands and optimize output.</li><li>
Manage peak season volume by expanding shifts, reallocating labor, and overseeing a substantial temporary workforce.</li><li>
Implement process improvements by analyzing workflow efficiencies, resource allocation, and customer requirements.</li><li>
Promote a culture of safety and maintain a healthy work environment through compliance with company policies and relevant health and safety regulations.</li><li>
Ensure all operational activities comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures.</li><li>
Drive alignment across the distribution center (DC) management team and cross-functional business partners through strong communication and collaboration.</li><li>
Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and customer expectations to continuously evolve and enhance operational effectiveness.</li></ul> 
Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>
3&ndash;5 years of management-level experience in an automated distribution environment, with a strong understanding of both inbound and outbound operations.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive stakeholders.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external partners.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a results-driven, team-oriented environment through collaboration and accountability.</li><li>
Proven track record of leading and resolving complex projects or operational challenges with practical, scalable solutions.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to leverage technology to improve reporting and decision-making.</li><li>
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding performance goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.</li><li>
Proven analytical and planning skills, with the ability to use data to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership environment with shifting priorities and evolving business needs.</li></ul>
Must be fully available during the holiday period from October through December; (including Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving). Candidates that are unavailable during these periods will not be considered, as this is a company-wide blackout policy.
