Job Title: Childcare Director Assistant Location: Germantown, MD Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8 AM &ndash; 5 PM] Compensation:$18.50 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience Start Date: Immediate OpeningAbout UsSomos Early Learning is a nurturing, preschool program dedicated to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for young children. We are currently seeking an organized and proactive Director Assistant to support our team and ensure the smooth operation of our center.Position OverviewThe Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in the day-to-day administrative operations of the center. This individual must be tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and experienced in QuickBooks for financial tasks and Brightwheel for childcare management communications and attendance tracking.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage daily administrative tasks, including filing, scheduling, answering phones, and responding to emails</li><li>Process tuition payments, track expenses, and maintain financial records using QuickBooks</li><li>Oversee and update student records, attendance, and parent communications through Brightwheel</li><li>Assist with enrollment, registration, and parent onboarding</li><li>Prepare monthly reports and assist with audits or licensing requirements</li><li>Support staff scheduling and timesheet tracking</li><li>Maintain office supply inventory and order supplies as needed</li><li>Provide professional and friendly communication to families and staff</li><li>Ensure compliance with local and state childcare licensing requirements</li></ul>Required<ul><li>Ability to pass a background check and meet all childcare licensing requirements.</li><li>Bilingual (spanish, English)</li><li>Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Comfortable with digital tools and technology, such as facebook for postings</li><li>High school diploma</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Proficiency in QuickBooks</li><li>Hands-on experience with Brightwheel or similar Childcare software </li><li>Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills</li><li>Experience in a childcare center or a similar business</li><li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Childcare Discount, 401K Matching plan.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li></ul>Work Location: In person
