( Montessori experience preferred but not required). The ideal candidate will enjoy working with young children and be dedicated to supporting their development in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.</li><li>Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing strategies to support children with diverse needs.</li><li>Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.</li><li>Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.</li><li>Support children with through tailored instruction and care.</li><li>Organize activities that promote physical, social, and emotional growth among toddlers.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Strong experience in classroom management techniques to create an effective learning atmosphere.</li><li>Knowledge of curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children.</li><li>Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.</li><li>Experience working with children, including those with special education needs or disabilities.</li><li>Proficient in preschool care practices that ensure the well-being of young learners.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (English/Spanish) to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff members.</li><li>A nurturing attitude combined with patience and creativity in teaching methods.</li><li>Previous experience in a Montessori environment and a Montessori curriculum setting.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree</li><li>Montessori Credential Preferred but not required</li><li>45 hours of Child Growth and Development</li><li>45 hours in Preschool Curriculum (required if Lead for 3-5 year old)</li><li>Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility or 30 college credits</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of various stages of social, emotional and intellectual development</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development</li><li>Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, jump, dance, walk, run, reach carry, lift 50 lbs.</li><li>CDA certification</li><li>1 year minimum experience working with children</li></ul>Own transportationEligible to work in the USAHours:Full-time jobMonday - Friday9:00 am to 6:00 pm (1 hr. lunch)Work location: In personCertificationsMontessori Certification (preferred but not required)Bachelor's Degree90 hrs.
