Job Description 
Summary:
The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.</li><li>
Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.</li><li>
Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.</li><li>
Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.</li><li>
Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.</li><li>
Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.</li><li>
Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.</li><li>
Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
<ul><li>
Minimum 2+ years of experience in automotive purchasing, acquisitions, and appraisals.</li><li>
Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally.</li><li>
Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.</li><li>
Ability to persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout.</li><li>
Comfortable using CRM software and productivity tools to manage leads and track progress.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.</li><li>
Must be authorized to work in the USA.</li><li>
Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.</li></ul>

Actual earnings depend on performance. High-performing sales professionals who consistently meet and exceed store and corporate goals often earn well above this range.</li></ul></li></ul>
