Job Description 
Summary:
The Used Car Buyer will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.</li><li>
Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.</li><li>
Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.</li><li>
Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.</li><li>
Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.</li><li>
Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.</li><li>
Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.</li><li>
Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Preferred:<ul><li>
At least 2+ years working in a Used Car department in a dealership or Used Buyer experience within a dealership.</li><li>
Demonstrated success in telemarketing, appointment setting, or sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.</li><li>
Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally.</li><li>
Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.</li><li>
Ability to handle rejection positively and persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout.</li><li>
Comfortable using CRM software, productivity tools, and other technology platforms to manage leads and track progress.</li><li>
Honda/Acura brand experience a plus.</li><li>
Professional personal appearance.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.</li><li>
Ability to meet company&rsquo;s production and quality standards.</li></ul>
Required:<ul><li>
All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and good driving record.</li><li>
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.</li></ul> 
Additional Information 
(The Used Car Buyer position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include base hourly compensation of seventeen dollars an hour. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or number of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.)

 Moves vehicles to maintain flow of traffic
 
 
 Assists customers with questions and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
 
 
 Maintains cleanliness of the dealership
 
 
 
 Porter Duties And Responsibilities

 May be required to help replenish all vehicle fluids as needed, and perform other minor vehicle assistance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing debris as necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Makes key tags for vehicles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other duties as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
