POSITION SUMMARY</div><div>
Sony Corporation of America (&ldquo;SCA&rdquo;) is seeking a Spring 2026 law student intern to support the Legal Department. This is a paid internship and the intern will assist lawyers in transactional, litigation and corporate matters. SCA&rsquo;s law student intern program is designed to provide the intern with hands-on training in a real-world environment of an in-house legal department. Assignments will vary and may include researching and drafting memos, reviewing agreements and other legal documents, attending client meetings, negotiations, etc.</div><div></div><div>
Interns will work in person at least 1-2 days in the NYC office for approximately 15-20 hours/week.</div><div></div><div><div>
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION</div></div><div><div>
Your qualifications and experience should include:</div></div><ul><li><div>
Experience/background/course work/other indicia of interest in the fields of technology, media, or similar industries</div></li><li><div>
Minimum of 3.0 GPA</div></li><li><div>
Prior law firm/judicial internship or related internship experience is a plus</div></li><li><div>

Excellent written and oral communication skills</div></li><li><div>
Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until they are completed</div></li><li><div>

Job Purpose: This role will advise on transactional issues related to contracts to enable the business to achieve its objectives. You will negotiate and draft agreements, advise on proposal drafts and topics, and lead efforts to protect the business's intellectual property rights.</div><div></div><div>

Draft and negotiate agreements, including, all types of publishing agreements, including (such as co-publishing agreements, purchase agreements, administration agreements, and modifications and/ extensions of the foregoing), agreements with digital service providers contracts , service agreements, sponsorships, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Respond promptly to requests from various internal departments and external clients.</div></li><li><div>
Work with audit and royalty compliance personnel on responses to audit claims. Negotiate and draft audit settlement agreements.</div></li><li><div>
Work with Sony in-house litigation staff and outside counsel on litigation matters: Review claims, coordinate responses to discovery requests, review answers, motion papers, briefs, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Work closely with A&amp;R staff on preparation of proposals deals.</div></li><li><div>
Work with Gives support and legal advice for Sony affiliates in Latin America on legal matters, as needed.</div></li><li><div>
Prepare and circulate internal deal approval memos.</div></li><li><div>
Advise internal clients Sony personnel on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, copyright issues, company policies and procedures, intellectual property and agreement strategy.</div></li><li><div>
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.</div></li><li><div>

Who You Are: (<i>skills and experience required</i>)</div><ul><li><div>
 Juris Doctor (JD) required, licensed and in good standing to practice law in Florida</div></li><li><div>

3+ years&rsquo; experience working in the music industry</div></li><li><div>
