<div>SoundCloud is looking for a technically-skilled Lifecycle Marketing Technologist to join our Lifecycle team and drive our automated notification strategy. In this role, you'll be instrumental in creating highly personalized, data-driven notification campaigns that increase Monthly Active Users (MAU) and drive Fan and Creator subscription growth.<br>

You'll work at the intersection of marketing, data, and engineering&mdash;partnering closely with our Data and Recommendation Engineering teams to build sophisticated, automated lifecycle programs that engage our global community of creators and listeners.</p>
</div>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with the Director of Lifecycle to develop and execute a comprehensive automated notification strategy with a focus on increasing MAU and subscription conversions</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for personalized engagement by analyzing user behavior, cohort performance, and lifecycle stage transitions</li>
<li>Partner with Product teams to understand feature launches and product gaps to translate them into targeted notification campaigns</li>
<li>Build, test, and optimize automated notification campaigns using CRM platforms (Braze, Marketo, MoEngage)</li>
<li>Write templating logic using Liquid, Jinja, or similar languages to create dynamic, personalized messaging experiences</li>
<li>Query and analyze data in BigQuery to segment audiences, measure campaign performance, and extract actionable insights</li>
<li>Design and implement A/B tests to continuously improve notification performance across channels (push, email, in-app)</li>
<li>Work closely with Data and Recommendation Engineering teams to request features, integrations, and data support</li>
<li>Collaborate with the data analysts and technical specialists to implement sophisticated campaign analysis mechanics and dashboards</li>
<li>Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Analytics to identify growth opportunities</li>
<li>Monitor and report on key metrics including MAU, subscription conversions, retention rates, engagement rates, and overall lifecycle health</li>
<li>Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand campaign effectiveness and user behavior patterns</li>
<li>Translate complex data findings into clear recommendations and actionable strategies</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Experience and Background:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, growth marketing, marketing technology, or similar role at a consumer subscription business</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in SQL and experience querying large datasets (BigQuery experience strongly preferred)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Braze, Marketo, or MoEngage</li>
<li>Ability to write templating code (Liquid, Jinja, or similar) for dynamic content personalization</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to analyze campaign performance and translate data into strategic recommendations</li>
<li>Experience developing automated, trigger-based notification strategies</li>
<li>Experience with Kafka or event-streaming architectures</li>
<li>Background in subscription-based businesses or consumer technology</li>
<li>Familiarity with recommendation systems or personalization engines</li>
<li>Experience with SatSig or similar product testing and experimentation tools</li>
<li>You're constantly asking questions, digging into data, and seeking to understand user behavior and product opportunities</li>
<li>You build strong relationships across teams and work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners</li>
<li>You can design rigorous tests, interpret complex data, and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences</li>
<li>You identify opportunities independently and drive initiatives forward</li>
</ul>
<p><i>The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $135,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
