Our facility offers a full range of vascular surgery procedures, from complex arterial treatments to delicate cosmetic procedures, with a focus on patient-centered care and dignity.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Office Assistant at South Bay Vascular Center &amp; Vein Institute in Campbell, CA. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for phone etiquette, appointment scheduling, medical terminology, insurance verification, and administrative assistance to support the efficient operations of the vascular surgery center. Full-time position available immediately in a well established, fast-paced medical practice. Our office prides itself on our relationships and on being able to deliver the best in surgical care to our patients.We are searching for a mature, responsible, punctual, dependable team member that understands and values customer service, health and the importance of treating patients like family. Must be self-motivated, require little supervision, and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of our team. Must display excellent organizational and communication skills. A professional appearance, attention to detail, good verbal skills and public relations skills are a must. Successful candidate must be BILINGUAL, preferably with SPANISH and ENGLISH. Excellent written English is critical to this role. We currently have offices in Campbell, Gilroy, and Santa Cruz. You will be expected to travel to one of the satellite offices 1-2 times per week.This is a KEY position and requires all of the above. This is an excellent position for someone who is on a premed or pre-nursing track, and we have had several employees continue on to medical and nursing school. You will have significant patient interactions. This could also be a great position for someone mature who is looking for a permanent stable situation. Your responsibilities may include:: Answering a multi-line phone system :Scheduling appointments on an electronic medical record : Rooming patients, taking a brief history, taking blood pressures : Serving as a patient liason, answering questions, and closing out the patient visit : Putting in authorizations for visits/ultrasounds : Maintaining and creating spreadsheets of patients being referred and recalled : Assisting with ultrasound studies and/or angiography procedures: Scribing during office visits, assisting in back office dutiesPlease send us a paragraph explaining why you would be a great addition to our team.
