Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Clinical Coordinator Description
South College invites applications for the position of a full-time Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound) Clinical Coordinator. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Coordinate clinical education with didactic education as assigned by program director.</li><li>Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of clinical experiences for students&rsquo; concentrations.</li><li>Provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships and act as a liaison between clinical sites and college.</li><li>Develop clinical rotation assignments, lesson plans, and schedules.</li><li>Maintain all clinical records including calculation of grades.</li><li>Review and revise performance objectives to assure valid clinical learning experiences.</li><li>Initiate clinical instructor/clinical site evaluation by students each quarter.</li><li>Provide student counseling and advising as required.</li><li>Uphold high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required in a related field. Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li><li>Must be credentialed and in good standing with the ARDMS.</li><li>Must possess proficiency in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, education, and counseling.</li><li>Must possess the appropriate credential(s) specific to one of more of the credential(s) offered.</li><li>Must document the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a sonographer.</li></ul></div>

 Key Responsibilities

 Teach theory and hands-on skills in Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy

 Deliver instruction in venipuncture, blood collection, ABG, lab processing, and special specimen procurement

 Participate in curriculum development and instructional planning

 Required: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credentials in the state of Tennessee

 Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant

 At least 3 years of full-time experience in the past 7 years
 </li>

The position will have primary teaching responsibilities in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing; however, may cross prelicensure nursing programs depending on educational level.
This is a full-time, on ground campus-based position. Full time faculty are responsible for teaching and student facing hours every week. 32 hours on ground and 8 remote hours per week.
