The educator will be responsible for teaching groups of students with a range of disabilities. The selected candidate will develop, monitor and adjust instruction to promote the growth of our students which includes their intellectual, emotional, social and physical well-being. Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate unquestionable integrity, understand the value of culturally responsive instructional practices and have a firm belief in the potential of all students. General Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have;
<ul><li>NYS Permanent Special Education or NYS Professional in Students with Disabilities Certification.</li>
<li>Candidates who posses other teaching certificates, in addition to special education are preferred.</li>
<li>Master's degree preferred.</li>
<li>Familiarity and experience providing instruction in the areas of Math-Algebra 1 co-teach/Resource Room</li>
<li>Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole.

Job Qualifications 
Preferred Skills Of The Ideal Candidate:
Knowledge of multi-disciplinary instructional techniques, research-based interventions for teaching academics as well as behavior, and strategies for collecting data and monitoring academic/behavioral progress.
Familiarity with developing and delivering highly engaging instruction.
Experience with classroom management, IEP goal development and progress monitoring.
Able to lead classroom staff and collaborate with other members of the special education team.
Fully trained in crisis intervention/response such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS).

<div>JOB TITLE: Keyboard Specialist (10 months)
REPORTING TO: Building Principals
HOURS: 7.0 hours per day (Monday - Friday)
CURRENT LOCATIONS: Lisha Kill Middle School Attendance Office
ANTICIPATED START DATE: December 2025
SALARY AND BENEFITS: $28,312.00 per CSEA Contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The work involves responsibility for the performance of more complex clerical tasks and the full-time or substantial part-time operation of a computer for the entry and retrieval of information using software to produce printed material such as letters, memoranda and forms. Specific duties vary with the needs of the department. Procedures are generally fixed but the incumbent is given some leeway in the development of new procedures. Detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments. Work is reviewed by direct observation, checking completed work, periodic or spot checks, cross-checking or other steps in the clerical process. The incumbent in this position is typically supervised by a manager or division director. Does related work as required. 
Job Qualifications 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
Working knowledge of modern office terminology, procedures, equipment and business English;
Ability to operate a personal computer and utilize common office software programs including word processing, spreadsheet and databases at an acceptable rate of accuracy and speed;
Ability to set up appropriate forms, charts and other tabular listings;
Ability to perform close, detail work involving considerable visual effort and concentration;
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
Ability to maintain neat and legible records;
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
Candidates will not have to take an exam for this title. This is a Hiring Emergency Limited Placement (HELP) Program-designated title. The HELP Program is a temporary program designed to help local government employers address current staffing issues. Traditionally, the titles filled under the HELP Program required job candidates to compete in a competitive exam to be considered for employment. For the duration of the program, this title will be classified as non-competitive and categorized as a &ldquo;HELP Program&rdquo; position. At the close of the program, this position will revert to competitive class status. Employees occupying positions filled through the HELP Program will be granted competitive class status without the need to participate in a competitive exam.
