HUMAN RESOURCES ANALYSTSalary Range (DOE): $93,503.90 - $113,667.84BASIC FUNCTIONUnder the direction of the Human Resources Manager, perform a broad range of professional human resources duties supporting recruitment, employee benefits, leave administration, workers&rsquo; compensation, HRIS data management, and employee relations. Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors on HR related matters. Maintain accurate employee records and support HR programs and initiatives.This position sits in a correctional facility and requires a stringent personal background investigation.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSUnder the direction of the HR Manager the HR Analyst will:<ul><li>Coordinate full cycle recruitment activities for Corrections Officers and other positions, including job postings, applicant screening, testing, interview coordination, and candidate communication.</li><li>Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation; ensure completion of required documentation and timely benefit enrollment.</li><li>Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations; assist employees with benefit questions and issue resolution.</li><li>Coordinate and track employee leave programs (FMLA, military leave, leave without pay, etc.) in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and labor agreements.</li><li>Support workers&rsquo; compensation processes, including claim reporting, tracking, communication with State Labor &amp; Industries, and coordination of return-to-work or light duty assignments.</li><li>Maintain and update employee data in HRIS/payroll systems, ensuring accuracy of records related to hires, compensation, benefits, and performance.</li><li>Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements; ensure confidentiality and data integrity.</li><li>Respond to employee and applicant inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, recruitment processes, and employment information.</li><li>Support risk management and safety programs by tracking claims, maintaining documentation, and assisting with program administration.</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as internal HR policies and procedures.</li><li>Assist with HR projects such as salary surveys, audits, reporting, and process improvements.</li><li>Generate and maintain reports related to HR metrics and activities.</li><li>Utilize HR systems and standard office software to support HR functions.</li><li>Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance; may work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to HR staff or cross-functional teams.</li><li>Coordinate HR projects and program initiatives.</li><li>Analyze HR data and trends to support decision-making and process improvements.</li><li>Perform related duties as assigned.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIESKNOWLEDGE OF<ul><li>General human resources principles and practices</li><li>Recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes</li><li>Employee benefits and leave administration</li><li>Basic employment laws and regulations</li><li>HRIS systems and data management</li><li>Recordkeeping and confidentiality standards</li><li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.</li><li>TylerMUNIS or similar HRIS system.</li></ul>ABILITY TO<ul><li>Manage multiple HR functions with accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment</li><li>Communicate effectively with employees at all levels</li><li>Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations</li><li>Organize work, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments</li><li>Analyze information and resolve HR issues appropriately</li><li>Build effective working relationships</li></ul>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAny combination equivalent to:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, andTwo (2) years of professional human resources experience or equivalent experience.</li><li>HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or equivalent certification) is desirable.Working knowledge of employment law is preferred.</li></ul>OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust be able to obtain ACCESS certification.
