Get ready to make a difference and grow with us!Responsibilities&middot; Be the face of the Library! Deliver outstanding service while staffing the Circulation Desk for most of your scheduled hours (75&ndash;100%).&middot; Keep the library moving &mdash; check materials in and out, issue library cards, collect fines, and manage renewals, and shelve materials.&middot; Master our circulation systems to handle every transaction quickly, accurately, and efficiently.&middot; Be a go-to resource for our patrons by solving routine problems, answering questions, and making sure every visitor leaves with a great experience.Necessary Knowledge&middot; Ability to quickly learn and navigate computerized circulation systems.&middot; Strong customer service skills with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion.&middot; Basic proficiency with a mouse, keyboard, and phone operations.&middot; Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.&middot; Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 20 pounds, and access library materials.Qualifications&middot; Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to scheduling needs.&middot; High school diploma or equivalent required.&middot; Strong customer service skills essential.&middot; Previous library experience preferred.&middot; Spanish language skills a plus.&middot; Must have reliable transportation.The salary range for this position is $14,040 - $16, 455 based on skills and qualifications.
