Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help us uphold the highest standards of infection control, patient safety, and clinical efficiency.Duties<ul><li>Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.</li><li>Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for each appointment.</li><li>Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.</li><li>Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document treatment details accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations.</li><li>Maintain strict infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.</li><li>Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation.</li><li>Operate advanced equipment like 3D scanners and handle medical coding for accurate billing and recordkeeping.</li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times.</li><li>Collaborate seamlessly in a four-handed dentistry setup to maximize efficiency during procedures.</li><li>Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid Registered Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with state regulations.</li><li>Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.</li><li>Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; ability to work effectively with children is essential.</li><li>Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding standards for accurate documentation.</li><li>Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely.</li><li>Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; capable of explaining procedures clearly to patients.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as HIPAA compliance, infection control, and new dental technologies.
