As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are hiring a Team Care Coordinator (Surgical) for our Southpark Clinic located in St. Augustine, FL! Please see the functions and requirements listed below, as they are necessary to be considered for this role:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
<ul>
<li>Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits including accompanying the provider into the patient exam room in order to transcribe intake, history, procedures, physical examinations and plan as given by the provider and patient.</li>
<li>Assist with in-office procedures such as aspirations, injections, suture removal, etc.</li>
<li>Completes all disability forms/FMLA paperwork.</li>
<li>Call in prescriptions and refills as authorized by the provider.</li>
<li>Handle/triage all patient phone calls.</li>
<li>Schedule patient appointments and procedures.</li>
<li>Work with WC adjusters, home health agencies and nurse case managers.</li>
<li>Manage the Physician&rsquo;s and PA&rsquo;s surgical and clinical schedules.</li>
<li>Submit or Renew Physical therapy orders.</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li>High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.</li>
<li>Medical Background, Taken an Anatomy Class, Certified Medical Assistant, College degree(s) relating to Anatomy/Healthcare.</li>
<li>Knowledge of community health services.</li>
</ul>
SKILLS
<ul>
<li>Strong organizational and demonstrates the ability to maintain accurate notes and records.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Strong typing and computer skills.</li>
<li>Attention to detail and follow-through.</li>
<li>Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.</li>
</ul>
ABILITIES
<ul>
<li>Ability to type 40wpm.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.</li>
<li>Ability to identify and implement appropriate patient communication strategies and overcome accessibility barriers, as 
required.</li>
<li>Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.</li>
<li>Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.</li>
</ul>
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
<ul>
<li>Normal office environment and some travel between clinics in assigned region.</li>
<li>Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
<ul>
<li>Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.</li>
<li>Travel required.</li>
</ul>

GENERAL SUMMARY
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and the healthcare team to ensure smooth care delivery.</li>
<li>Guide patients through their healthcare journey, helping them understand conditions, medications, and provider instructions.</li>
<li>Support providers by handling administrative and clinical tasks that allow more face-to-face patient care.</li>
</ul>
Essential Functions

<li>Strong organizational, typing, and computer skills.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.</li>
<li>Typing speed of 40+ WPM; ability to work independently while supporting team efficiency.</li></ul>
