DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Complete comprehensive physical examinations of adolescents to assess health conditions and identify medical needs.</li><li>
Manage chronic conditions including diabetes mellitus (type 1 and 2), asthma, seizure disorder, anemia, and basic mental health disorders.</li><li>
Assess and manage acute conditions including trauma/injury, lacerations, head injuries, and respiratory infections.</li><li>
Perform basic procedural skills including laceration repair, I&amp;D, wound management, and basic trauma management.</li><li>
Conduct male/female sensitive examinations with appropriate follow-up.</li><li>
Complete Child Protective Services examinations for reported abuse and neglect.</li><li>
Develop and manage treatment plans, including hospital and specialist follow-ups for acute and chronic conditions.</li><li>
Provide patient guidance on healthy habits and preventative strategies, including diet, activity, and STIs.</li><li>
Prescribe medications and provide instructions for appropriate administration.</li><li>
Order and interpret lab and imaging results to guide treatment planning.</li><li>
Collaborate with behavioral health, nursing, security, social work, and external providers for continuity of care.</li><li>
Document patient interactions in the EMR, ensure compliance with facility/state regulations, foster a professional environment, and support discharge planning including medication dispensing.</li></ul>
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited program.</li><li>
Current valid and unrestricted license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Michigan.</li><li>
Possess a current certification through an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Credentialing Agency as a Nurse Practitioner</li><li>
Two (2) or more years of post-degree experience as a Nurse Practitioner</li><li>
Candidates must be cleared to work in a childcaring institution by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and Child Protective Services.</li><li>
Valid BLS Certification</li><li>
Valid Driver License with reliable transportation</li></ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing and working on a computer.</li><li>
Walking to different floors/clinic sites throughout the facility.</li><li>
Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization&rsquo;s physical premises.</li></ul>
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Examples)<ul><li>
Responsibility for maintaining records, reports, deadlines.</li><li>
Basic computer skills with ability to navigate EMR.</li><li>
Responsibility of knowing how office machine/equipment must be operated.</li><li>
Physical demands/ emotional demands and any other demands usual or unusual.</li></ul>
Salary: $57.00 hourly
Employment Type: Part-Time
