The manager overseeing internal locating will currently have (42) direct reports - Locating Supervisors and (6023) indirect reports including all the internal locators.<br>
</p><p></p><p>This position is responsible for timely and accurate locating of buried natural gas facilities while minimizing locator at-fault damages. The Asset Protection Manager is responsible for the training and development of the internal locating team. <p><b>Position Overview</b></p>
<p><b>The Building Services Technician &ndash; HVAC/Mechanical Specialist provides maintenance and technical support across multiple GPC facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.</b></p>
<p><b>The technician will travel between sites to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a wide range of equipment, including automatic gates, ice machines, and building automation systems.</b></p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<p>Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment across multiple GPC locations.</p>
<p>Diagnose and resolve HVAC and mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain occupant comfort.</p>
<p>Maintain and repair automatic gates, door operators, and access systems for secure and safe facility operation.</p>
<p>Service and maintain ice machines, including cleaning, sanitizing, and troubleshooting refrigeration and mechanical problems.</p>
<p>Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, including valves, fixtures, piping, and water heaters.</p>
<p>Perform minor electrical work, such as replacing ballasts, switches, motors, and troubleshooting circuits within scope of certification and safety guidelines.</p>
<p>Monitor, adjust, and optimize building automation systems (BAS/BMS) for performance and energy efficiency.</p>
<p>Support general building maintenance tasks, including lighting, pumps, motors, and control systems.</p>
<p>Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules for each facility.</p>
<p>Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations.</p>
<p>Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations at all locations.</p>
<p>Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment upgrades across the region.</p>
<p>Qualifications</p>
<p><b>Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC and mechanical maintenance, with working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.</b></p>
<p>Experience supporting multiple facilities or regional operations preferred.</p>
<p>Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, mechanical systems, or building maintenance required.</p>
<p>EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification and/or relevant trade licenses highly desirable.</p>
<p>Experience servicing automatic gates, refrigeration/ice machines, and general building equipment.</p>
<p>Strong understanding of building automation systems and mechanical controls.</p>
<p>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.</p>
