<p>Job Duties<br/><b>Fundamentally strong in accounting and knowledge of U.S. GAAP.</b><br/>Assists with various transactional processes and module interfaces for asset additions, retirements, transfers and adjustments.<br/><b>Analyze and review month-end close activities for compliance with U.S. GAAP, discrepancies, coding errors and other issues that should be researched, and resolved or brought to management&rsquo;s attention. Month-end close activities include preparation, upload, and posting of journal entries relating to leases, fixed assets and depreciation.</b><br/>Evaluate and perform balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly roll forward schedules that are complete, accurate, and fully supported by appropriate evidence in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations. Any outstanding items/issues are researched and resolved in a timely manner.<br/><b>Provides support in analyzing documents and reviewing for proper approvals and coding to open new capital projects. Staff Accountant II, III - Property Accountant

<div><p>Description</p>
<p>As a member of the Corporate FP&amp;A team, this role will be responsible for supporting the monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, including model building/support, consolidated reporting as well as supporting the Corporate functional teams with managing costs to budget. This role requires a strong analytical focus, attention to detail and the ability to operate in a cross-functional environment.</p>
<p>Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):</p>
<ul><li><div>Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field</div></li>
<li><div>4+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, FP&amp;A, or related analytical role</div></li>

<ul><li><div>Lead the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial reporting comparing actuals to budget and trend with a focus on consolidated results, SG&amp;A, interest, income taxes, capital expenditures, balance sheet and headcount.</div></li>
<li><div>Lead the reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for Corporate functional costs working with leadership to ensure fiscal responsibility.</div></li>
<li><div>Support the company-wide forecast and budget process through model development including compensation, insurance, property taxes, depreciation / amortization and capital expenditures.</div></li>
<li><div>Partner with accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.</div></li>
<li><div>Conducting financial analyses including buy vs. lease analysis and capital expenditure IRR analysis.</div></li>
<li><div>Preparing ad-hoc analyses upon request</div></li>

<ul><li><div>Position is a mix of in the office and work from home. Candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance of our office in Durham, NC.</div></li>

<p>This position is responsible for Operations and Maintenance of Alabama Power owned facilities and assets. Responsibilities include the repair and preventive maintenance for building infrastructure, grounds, access control systems, HVAC (Chillers), mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. needed to provide safe and productive work environments. This technician will need to be self-motivated and be able to operate and work within the most critical areas and operate equipment that serves these areas. This job will be located at the General Services Complex in Calera Al.</p>
