<div><div><div><div><p>TranSouth Logistics specializes in trucking, deliveries, and warehousing. Our distribution centers are located throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.</p>
<p>Seeking a Driver Floater. TranSouth is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL-A Floater Driver to join our growing fleet in Braselton, GA, Dalton, GA and Charlotte, NC.</p>
<p>This is a sleep cab position covering accounts across the Southeast United States. As a Floater Driver, you will serve as a key resource for our operations team stepping in wherever coverage is needed and keeping our accounts running smoothly. This role demands flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and service excellence.</p>
<p>This position is primarily Monday&ndash;Friday with the expectation that drivers are home most weekends. However, some weekend work may be required based on account needs. As a floater, flexibility in scheduling is essential to the success of this role.</p>
<p><b>TOUCH FREIGHT</b></p>
<p>We need a Driver who can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, have a clean driving record and at least 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience.</p>
<p>Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities</p>
<ul><li>Fully understand how to operate and safely drive a tractor trailer</li>
<li>Operate a sleeper cab truck across a variety of accounts throughout the Southeast U.S.</li>
<li>Serve as a floater driver, providing coverage for any account requiring driver support</li>
<li>Handle both no-touch freight and touch-freight loads as assigned</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and timely logs in compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations</li>
<li>Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections</li>
<li>Communicate proactively with your transportation manager regarding stops, backhauls, and scheduling</li>
<li>Uphold TranSouth's safety and quality standards on every run</li>
<li>Represent TranSouth professionally at all customer locations</li>
<li>Transport goods from the place of origin to assigned destination.</li>
<li>Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage.</li>
<li>Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with customers.</li>
<li>Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries.</li>
<li>Communicate with dispatch as needed.</li>
<li>Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.</li>
<li>Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.</li>
<li>Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.</li>
<li>Adhere to company rules and regulations.</li>
<li>Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.</li>
<li>Comply with DOT regulations and make safety a priority at all times.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications</b></p>
<ul><li>Valid Class A driver&rsquo;s license required</li>
<li>1 year of proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred.</li>
<li>Clean driving record with no more than 1 moving violation.</li>
<li>HazMat Endorsement</li>
<li>Tanker Endorsement</li>
<li>Willingness to cover various accounts and adapt to changing routes and schedules</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude</li>
<li>Must pass a background check and DOT drug and alcohol test.</li>
<li>Skilled at driving large vehicles</li>
<li>Comfortable maneuvering, parking and backing a tractor-trailer.</li>
<li>Alert, focused, and detail oriented.</li>
<li>Proficient using GPS and E-log systems.</li>
<li>Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.</li>
</ul>
