Summary of Duties:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for routine cleaning, upkeep, and general maintenance of the facility to include:
<ul><li>Emergency &amp; Urgent Care Buildings</li>
<li>Indoor and external environments, including pet walking areas</li>
</ul></li><li>Completes various tasks related to the above areas to include, but limited to:
<ul><li>Weekly, monthly, and semi-annual frequency</li>
<li>Deep cleaning of all rooms and zones, including offices, exam rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, breakrooms, and hallways</li>
<li>Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, walls, doors, ceilings, vent, and windows</li>
<li>Stocking and distributing of janitorial and cleaning supplies</li>
<li>Sweeping &amp; mopping, including the use of automated floor machines</li>
<li>Spot cleaning various locations as needed</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Assists in identifying facility and equipment for safety hazards, reports deficiencies to management.</li>
<li>Fulfills other duties as expected of a Facility Maintenance Assistant.</li></ul> 


Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Must pass a background check.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Prior veterinary experience is not required, but highly desired.</li></ul> 


Schedule:
<ul>
<li>Work schedule may be either full or part-time based on business conditions.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Shifts can be flexible but shall not exceed 12 hours per day.
</li></ul><ul><li>Overtime is achieved for hours greater than 40 in any work week, defined as Sunday through Monday.</li>
</ul><ul><li>This position is exempt from differentials but is eligible for holiday pay and annual revenue bonus programs as defined by EVH.</li></ul> 


Working and Physical Conditions:
<ul>
<li>Working conditions are normal for a veterinary emergency hospital.</li>
</ul><ul><li>The noise level is moderate to high and includes business machines, medical equipment, and patients barking/howling.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Prolonged periods standing and walking, and frequent sitting, kneeling, and bending.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Potential exposure to infectious diseases, aggressive animals, and potentially toxic medication/treatment agents.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Equipment operation may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses and gloves and nitrile gloves, ladder, stepstool, etc.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Frequently lifting materials and inventory up to 40 lbs., independently.</li></ul>
