How You Contribute and Succeed
The Medical Assistant role will provide outstanding service, compassion, and care to our patients. They will work as part of the care team with the Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure the patient has the best possible experience. Duties include: providing a warm and welcoming patient experience while preparing the patient and their information for their visit with their provider, assisting with the medical appointment as instructed by the provider, cleaning, preparing and stocking rooms, communicating with the patients and other providers about their care as instructed by the provider and documenting accurately about the visit in the electronic medical record.
The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain. To be successful in this role, the person will be a great team member, working together with others, kind and friendly, open to feedback for growth, and a role model of our values.
We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.

Our Front Office Coordinator is on the front line and the face of our practices. They are our ambassadors and are pivotal in initiating the best possible patient experience. They are responsible for overall front desk activities including management of the reception area and meeting areas, customer service, phones, mail, and office supplies. This position trains, supervises, and schedules administrative volunteers, coordinates front office coverage, and any additional administrative support necessary for the practice.
Tasks and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provides exceptional customer service in person and on the phone to patients, families, staff, vendors, and the community.</li><li>
Greeting patients.</li><li>
Collecting patient information.</li><li>
Verifying patient insurance.</li><li>
Maintaining patient accounts and records.</li><li>
Responsible for scheduling new patient appointments and follow up appointments.</li><li>
This role will be cross-trained to perform both front desk and basic medical assistant responsibilities to support clinic operations and patient care.</li><li>
Oversees the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image.</li><li>

The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows PartnerCare's service standards. You will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and will engage with our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health.

Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>
This role requires cross-training in both Front Desk and Medical Assistant II functions and will support patient care and clinic operations in both capacities.
</li><li>Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, staff, vendors, and community members both in person and over the phone.</li><li>
Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner.</li><li>
Collect, verify, and update patient demographic, medical, and insurance information.</li><li>
Maintain accurate patient accounts, records, and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.</li><li>
Schedule new patient appointments, follow-up visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing appointments.</li><li>
Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, including blood pressure, weight, temperature, and other required measurements.</li><li>
Review and confirm patient medical histories and update records as needed.</li><li>
Collect and process laboratory specimens for testing.</li><li>
Assist physicians and licensed healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.</li><li>
Educate patients by communicating physician instructions, medication information, and procedural guidance.</li><li>
Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, specialists, and diagnostic facilities to coordinate referrals and continuity of care.</li><li>
Maintain and organize medical records, referral documentation, and test results to ensure accuracy and accessibility.</li><li>
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with infection control and biohazard standards.</li><li>
Promote a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Assist with clinic operations, including opening and closing procedures, patient follow-up calls, quality improvement initiatives, and problem-solving activities.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering and receipt of medical supplies, medications, linens, and office materials.</li><li>
Ensure equipment functionality through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of repairs as needed.</li><li>
Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development opportunities.</li><li>
Adhere to company policies, professional standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.</li><li>
Demonstrate flexibility by supporting team initiatives, taking ownership of new responsibilities, and contributing to practice success.</li><li>
