Descriptions:Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead or play a leading role in the packaging, engineering design, release and launch of exterior components of a state-of-the-art car</li><li>Create cutting edge exterior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass and cost efficiency</li><li>Work interactively within a cross functional studio and vehicle engineering team, placing priority upon the greater benefit of the vehicle above any one individual system</li><li>Employ and develop world class engineering tools and an innovative approach to support the systems generation</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>5+ years of experience in vehicle exterior component design &amp; development. This includes design related experience with at least some of the following areas:</li></ul>Side valences Sill trims Underbody aero shields Wheelhouse liners Spoilers / Appliques &quot;Frunk&quot; / &quot;Froot&quot; Rocker panels Glazing OSRVM (Mirrors) Wipers and Wash System<ul><li>Proven experience creating complex CAD schemes and models to an excellent standard, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6</li></ul>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Proven experience with thermoplastic &amp; thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies (including painting)</li><li>A good understanding of the range of computational tools available to design engineers</li><li>Launch experience</li><li>A flair for creative engineering and 3D problem solving</li><li>Five or more years of experience with plastics design, Class A surfaces, front crash, aero features, lighting integration, module integration, tooling, resins, supply base, fit and finish, gap and flush, module concept, thermal expansion, structural design, paint (matching).</li><li>Five or more years of experience with the development of glazing, wipers, wash systems or OSRVM.</li><li>A strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable team</li><li>Well-developed team working and interpersonal skills</li><li>A great work ethic</li></ul>Education<ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person

Sr Engineer - Exterior Trim, Mechanisms & Glazing

Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.</li><li>Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.</li><li>Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.</li><li>Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.</li><li>Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.</li></ul>Skills:<ul><li>Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.</li><li>Team player and detail oriented.</li><li>Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.</li><li>Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).</li></ul>Education/Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering required.</li><li>5-7 years of experience required.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
