At Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center, a proud Critical Access Hospital, we're committed to delivering high-quality care in the heart of our rural community. We're looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who brings both technical expertise and compassionate care to the operating room.
In this essential role, you&rsquo;ll collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and endoscopy staff to ensure safe, efficient, and effective procedures&mdash;from general surgery to specialty and GI cases.
Pay Range: -$28.46-$39.88 per hour based on experience and qualifications. 2-3 days a week.
Requirements:

What You'll Do:<ul><li>
Serve as an expert in sterile surgical technique, instrumentation, and case preparation</li><li>
Anticipate the surgeon&rsquo;s needs throughout procedures to ensure smooth and timely surgeries</li><li>
Identify and respond to breaks in sterile technique, maintaining safety at all times</li><li>
Set up and maintain surgical and endoscopy instruments and equipment</li><li>
Assist circulating nurses and physicians throughout procedures, including endoscopy</li><li>
Perform sterile processing (SPD) responsibilities: sterilize instruments, maintain accurate counts, and document endoscope use</li><li>
Promote a patient-first environment&mdash;protecting dignity, safety, and autonomy</li><li>
Maintain accurate logs and ensure clean, ready-to-use GI procedure rooms</li></ul>
Minimum Required Education/Experience:<ul><li>
High School Diploma required.</li><li>
Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.</li><li>
CST Required</li><li>
Minimum of two years&rsquo; work experience in general surgery and/or specialized surgery specialties is required.</li><li>
Sterile Processing experience preferred</li><li>
Robotic experience strongly preferred</li></ul>
Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:<ul><li>Ability to understand and create an environment of open communication with all assigned surgical work group members to ensure a positive outcome for the patient.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to recognize and response to opportunities for improvement through continual learning, changes in approach based on situation and professional practice behavior.</li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration</li></ul>
Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to a tuberculosis screening process.
Licenses or Certificates: Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
Unusual Demands: Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions.
