Job Description:
Schedule:
Monday- Friday
6:00am-2:30pm
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for the preventative maintenance and/or replacements of equipment, facilities and fixtures following defined procedures and processes.
Here is what you will do:
<ul><li>Repair and/or replace distribution center equipment and fixtures as necessary (i.e., floors, ceiling, walls, doors, cabinets, light bulbs, plumbing, electrical, conveyor systems, motive power batteries and chargers, etc.)</li><li>
Retrieve down equipment such as forklifts or pallet trucks and return to shop.</li><li>
Assist with facility safety, food safety, and code inspections</li><li>
Ensure work is completed in a timely manner while not interrupting operations (to extent possible), ensure work environment is kept clean and safe</li><li>
Utilize maintenance systems such as Square Rigger/other software as appropriate to ensure accurate and timely documentation of work and inventory</li><li>
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of facility assets (including batteries, forklifts, and pallet jacks) as well as stock lists of critical spare parts and service supplies</li><li>
Assist with maintenance of facility security, asset protection, and safety needs</li><li>

Here is what you will need:
<ul><li>Driver&rsquo;s License (Required)
</li><li>High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) (Required)</li><li>
Basic hand tools (Required)</li><li>
Hilo License (Preferred)
</li><li>1-3 years&rsquo; experience with a combination of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and environmental issues (Strongly preferred)</li><li>
Journeyman Card is a plus</li><li>
Previous food distribution/manufacturing experience (strongly preferred)</li><li>
Basic computer skills</li><li>
Good communication skills, written and verbal to communicate and/or document maintenance needs and status of projects.
</li><li>Must report for work regularly and on time, as scheduled.
</li><li>Must be able to take direction from supervisor(s) and works well with others.
</li><li>Must work well under pressure, and is able to organize and prioritize work assignments, and meet established deadlines.
</li><li>Must perform assigned tasks accurately and completely.
</li><li>Must be flexible and able to handle changes in work requirements productively.
</li></ul>Physical Requirements:

Must frequently sit, walk and stand, use hands to handle, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements as in operating foot controls. Must frequently walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and reach with the hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed. While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for full shift hours as assigned
