JOB SUMMARY:</div><div></div><div>
The Quality Inspector inspects and tests materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specified drawings and procedures.</div><div></div><div>
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</div><div></div><ul><li>
Verify and inspect materials to match PO and MRP requirements in accordance with specification drawings, military standards, commercial standards, sampling plans and internal procedures as required.</li><li>
Perform screening of materials as specified on incoming inspection travelers and/or shop travelers.</li><li>
Perform first piece inspection actions and completion of AS 9102 forms required under AS9100 where applicable.</li><li>
Inspect devices under high-powered microscopes for verification of compliance or defect identification and initiate and submit deficiency forms on any non-compliant materials as outlined by company MRB procedures.</li><li>
Perform functional electrical measurements using LCR meters, multimeters and other test equipment.</li><li>
Program, set-up and operate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and perform basic maintenance and calibration on the CMM where necessary.</li><li>
Inspect detailed machined parts and assemblies per print requirements if in a machine shop setting.</li><li>
Conduct first article, first piece, in process and final inspection.</li><li>
Ensure compliance using mechanical measuring devices including, but not limited to: calipers, dial gauges and optical comparators and facilitate testing to ensure compliance.</li><li>
Maintain and organize quality documentation.</li><li>
Maintain critical task training and certification records.</li><li>
Perform quality and process improvement audits and assist manufacturing inspectors with internal and external inspections as directed.</li><li>
Perform other inspection, testing or quality related tasks as needed.</li></ul><div></div><div>
QUALIFICATIONS:</div><div></div><ul><li>
Education: High School or Equivalent</li><li>
Experience Years: 1-3 years</li><li>
Experience Type: Production, Quality Related Field OR</li><li>
Equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>
Microsoft Office and web proficiency</li><li>
Able to read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, ISO 9000 and 9001 company procedure manuals, specifications and geometric tolerancing and bar graphs</li><li>
Ability to do basic math in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals</li><li>
Ability to use SolidWorks software where applicable</li><li>
Understanding of LAN and information systems</li><li>
IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001, IPC 600/3012 certification in certain areas</li></ul><div></div><div>
