 Spero Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our awesome teams in Seymour, TN and Lenoir City, TN!
 
 
 
 <ul>

 This position will work out of both clinic locations - Seymour (2-3 days/week) and Lenoir City (2-3 days/week) ***

 The Medical Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Scheduling patient appointments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Answering in-coming calls and checking voice messages regularly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Check patients in/out, monitor patient flow.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform urine drug screens, takes vitals, assist with patient evaluations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Call in patient medication as directed by Physician.
 </li>
 <li>
 Input accurate patient information into electronic health record.
 </li>
 <li>
 Sending prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform daily financial summary and balance of payments received.
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide education and resource information regarding medication.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Requirements
 
 
 
 
 Education:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High School Diploma required
 </li>
 <li>
 Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
 </li>
 <li>
 Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with injections preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
 
 
 </li>

The Counselor/Social Worker's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>
 Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.</li><li>
 Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.</li><li>
 Provide patient education.</li><li>
 Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.</li><li>
 Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.</li><li>
 Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPPA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations.</li></ul>
Requirements:

LICENSED COUNSELOR/SOCIAL WORKER EDUCATION:<ul><li>
Education: Minimum, Master's Degree in a human services field (psychology, sociology, social work, family studies, human services, counseling, nursing, or another human service degree program related to working with individuals with substance use disorders.</li><li>
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.</li><li>
License: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC</li></ul>
