Python Developer (FastAPI Expert) Job Type: Full-time / Hybrid (In-office + Remote) / Contract Experience: 2&ndash;5+ years Location: Hybrid &ndash; Partial in-office and remoteAbout the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI to build, optimize, and maintain high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with OpenAI API, building scalable API endpoints, handling large API calls efficiently, and optimizing server performance.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI</li><li>Integrate third-party APIs, including OpenAI API (prompt handling, structured output, error handling)</li><li>Implement optimized backend logic for heavy API traffic and background processing</li><li>Design scalable database schemas and write optimized queries</li><li>Implement and manage authentication &amp; authorization (JWT, OAuth2)</li><li>Handle and optimize large API calling jobs (batch processing, task queues)</li><li>Apply caching, rate limiting, and async programming to improve performance</li><li>Monitor server health, optimize response times, and reduce latency</li><li>Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and AI teams for seamless product integration</li><li>Build automated tests (unit/integration) and ensure high code quality</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Strong proficiency in Python</li><li>2+ years hands-on experience with FastAPI</li><li>Experience with OpenAI API integration (chat, embeddings, function calling, etc.)</li><li>Solid understanding of RESTful architecture and async programming (async/await)</li><li>Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)</li><li>Experience with background task systems (Celery, RQ)</li><li>Proficient with Docker, Git, and CI/CD workflows</li><li>Understanding of security best practices and API scalability</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>Experience with WebSockets or GraphQL</li><li>Familiarity with microservices architecture</li><li>Caching &amp; optimization strategies (Redis, task scheduling)</li><li>Cloud deployment experience (GCP, AWS, Azure)</li><li>Knowledge of logging, monitoring &amp; observability tools (Prometheus, Sentry)</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary (based on experience)</li><li>Hybrid work model: partial in-office and remote flexibility</li><li>Opportunity to work on AI-powered products with real-world impact</li><li>Growth in cutting-edge backend and AI integrations</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, ContractWork Location: In person
