<div>Overview 


This position is responsible for creating embroidery and twill designs as well as adjusting customer provided art for use in digitizing. The artist in this position is responsible for creating high quality designs that are sensitive to aesthetics, while maintaining specific production and efficiency goals. This position is centered around learning and retaining knowledge and developing an understanding of the embroidery processes and guidelines.

Essential Job Responsibilities 

<ul><li>
Employee pulls and self-assigns work through an on-line Art/Order dashboard.</li><li>
Read and interpret orders, following directions indicated on the order which includes critical thinking and problem solving.</li><li>
Produce custom designs as specified on orders tied to defined product, Licensing, decoration process, embroidery restrictions and graphic concepts.</li><li>
Runs Spell Check on every art.</li><li>
Works with Senior Artist to resolve art issues.</li><li>
Works directly with licensing, to refine and edit art files as needed.</li><li>
Works with Art Support to resolve and/or update order information.</li><li>
Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders in workflow to effectively meet all deadlines and ship date requirements.</li><li>
Saves art files to appropriate network locations.</li><li>
Will assist with Quality auditing and Editing assignments as job knowledge increases.</li><li>
Special projects are assigned as needed.</li><li>
Overtime will be required at certain times throughout the year.</li></ul> 


Minimum Qualifications 

<ul><li>
Degree in Commercial Art, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related experience.</li><li>
Working knowledge of the Macintosh computer and advanced knowledge of Adobe &ndash; Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Illustrator.</li><li>
Professional design skills, including a strong knowledge and understanding of typography.</li><li>
Available to work overtime during peak demands and event seasons (daily and weekends).</li></ul>
