Compensation: Associate Program
Starting Range: $19.23-$20.86/hr

Position Supervision:
This position reports to the Operations Management Supervisor. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. However, they may provide guidance to temporary project workers and volunteers. 
Job Description:
The Operations Management Associate contributes to the goals of the organization by supporting the Operations Management Supervisor through maintaining an adequate inventory of food, supplies, clothing, and household items for the Sponsors&rsquo; Transitional Housing Program. The position also ensures conditions are safe and sanitary in the pantry, including the refrigerator, freezer, and other designated areas within a warehouse and storage environment. As part of the Operations Management Team, this position also assists with warehouse storage and distribution of donations and supplies to program participants. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Manage and track food and supply inventories to support Sponsors&rsquo; Transitional Housing Program campuses. 
Support the equitable collection, storage, and distribution of food, household goods, and clothing donations. 
Fulfill and distribute food orders for program participants. 
Maintain warehouse and pantry standards. 

Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge:<ul><li>
Experience with large-scale inventories, ordering, and adhering to budget limitations.</li><li>
Knowledge of best practices for safe handling of fresh and frozen food products.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively prioritize a wide variety of tasks on a timeline.</li><li>
Clear communication skills, including listening, and collaborative teamwork ability.</li><li>
Basic understanding of prison reentry or general compassion for individuals recently released from incarceration.</li><li>
Comfortable driving a small box truck.</li></ul> 
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
1 year of experience working in large-scale purchasing, warehouse management, restaurant, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>
Preference for previous work with a social service organization.</li><li>
Must possess and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>
Must possess or be able to obtain an Oregon Food Handler&rsquo;s Certificate within 30 days of hire.</li></ul> 
Work Environment:<ul><li>
Performs work in a pantry environment.</li><li>
Performs work in a busy warehouse alongside a team of colleagues, participants and volunteers.</li><li>
Drives an agency vehicle in the community to pick up orders.</li><li>
Works throughout multi-building campuses with participant housing and common areas.</li><li>
Operates a box truck and other warehouse equipment.</li><li>
Works in the refrigerator or freezer area to store and retrieve food items.</li><li>
Works indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, as needed.</li></ul> 
Physical Demands:<ul><li>
Carry up to 50 lbs. frequently; team-lift large and awkward-shaped items.</li><li>
Bend, kneel, lift, and carry heavy objects repeatedly for extended periods of time.</li><li>
Walk up and down stairs.</li><li>
Sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>
Walk and stand indoors and outdoors in changing climates.</li><li>
Carry items up and down stairs; team-carry furniture and heavy items up and down stairs.</li></ul> 
Post-conviction Supervision Status
Successful candidates for this position who are on parole or probation must have completed at least 1 year of supervision, have no violations of parole or probation in the past 9 months, and not be in a diversion program (e.g., SB416, Treatment Court, DUII Diversion, Restorative Justice).
