<div>Description:

The Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee will maintain pools at client's and associated facilities for the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.</li><li>
Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.</li><li>
Assists Pool Service Specialist to regularly test pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.</li><li>
Receives training from the Pool Service Specialist to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.</li><li>
Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.</li><li>
Inspects pool and equipment.</li><li>
Assists Pool Service Specialist to complete and maintain daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.</li><li>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.</li><li>
Understanding of pool cleaning chemicals and equipment related to swimming pools.</li><li>
Mechanical and manual labor skills related to aquatic facilities and equipment.</li><li>
Math skills to calculate chemical additives and ratios.</li></ul>
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>
One year of related experience required.</li><li>
Physical Requirements:</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.</li><li>
Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret water analysis, equipment readings, and complete recordkeeping.</li><li>
Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and facilities.</li></ul></div>
