How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing complex materials and services through competitive processes, new product development, and exploring new supplier offerings. You will lead the competition, redesign, and procurement of innovative solutions that drive significant cost savings and enhance productivity across the organization. Additionally, you will establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, while utilizing tools and processes to improve supplier performance and drive continuous cost improvements. 


What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

<ul><li>Direct Part Procurement</li></ul>
</div><ul><li>Work within the ERP system to evaluate and issue purchase orders to suppliers</li>
<li>Manage all procurement aspect's specific part categories, such as excess and shortages, past due purchase orders, and daily receipts of purchased parts</li>
<li>Support RMA process for assigned part categories</li></ul>

<ul><li>Supplier Performance</li></ul>
</div><ul><li>Track and publish supplier KPI&rsquo;s</li>
<li>Work with supplier to develop improvement action plans when necessary</li>
<li>Execute annual PPV activities with assigned supply base</li></ul>

<div>
<ul><li>Continuous Improvement</li></ul>
</div><ul><li>Document process and procedures to support procurement department</li>
<li>Drive improvement to reduce excess and obsolete inventory</li>
<li>Negotiate with supplier to generate positive PPV</li>
<li>Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers and building / maintaining relationships</li></ul>

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree with a minimum of five to seven years&rsquo; experience</li>
<li>Significant ERP experience (IFS experience, a plus)</li>
<li>Skilled use of all Microsoft Office products</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>CPSM Certification is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of mechanical procurement concepts and technical drawings</li>
<li>Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an ability to &ldquo;read&rdquo; the market</li>
</ul>
Education &amp; Certifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree with a minimum of five to seven years&rsquo; experience</li>
<li>CPSM Certification</li>
</ul>
Travel &amp; Working Environment
<ul>
<li>8:00AM &ndash; 5PM</li>
<li>Monday &ndash; Friday</li>
<li>In office less than 25% of travel</li></ul>
