<div>We&rsquo;re hiring for a <b>Quality Mechanical Source Inspector</b> position in Hartford, CT. <b>The schedule is for the first shift, part-time, 20 - 30 hours a week, 3-4 days per week on an as-needed basis.</b> If you have a passion for mechanical products and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul>
<li>Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials</li>
<li>Inspection may include, but is not limited to, purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to specifications/drawings</li>
<li>Perform surface plate inspection of the first article, in-process, and lot sample parts if required</li>
<li>Utilize inspection equipment such as micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) if necessary</li>
<li>Visual acuity and the ability to detect defects in highly complex products</li>
<li>Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity-specific standards</li>
<li>Classify defect types and verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Qualifications</b></h3><ul>
<li>3+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.</li>
<li>Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.</li>
Proficient in GD&amp;T and validating dimensions (tolerances<li> .005&rdquo;) using hand tools (e.g., indicators, micrometers, calipers, height gauges).</li>
<li>Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to new technology and software.</li>
<li>Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h3><ul>
<li>Associate's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Certification in inspection techniques or GD&amp;T is a plus.</li>
</ul><div>50% hourly rate for any travel time (&quot;p2p&quot;)</div>
<div>Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven). Untaxed.</div><div><b>

Quality Source Inspector - Mechanical - Level II

<div>We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with previous experience in performing detailed inspections, including first article inspections, receiving inspections, and root cause/corrective actions. This role requires proficiency in measurement tools, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry and customer specifications.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities:
</b></h3><ul><li>Provide detailed in-process and end-of-line inspections on flight hardware.</li>
<li>Document anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.</li>
<li>Communicate and help resolve quality related issues as they relate to the site.</li>
<li>Process non-conforming products and assist engineering in root cause analysis and corrective action if asked.</li>
<li>Routinely observe technical operations and offer guidance and/or serve as an additional technical resource.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Qualifications:</b></h3><ul>
<li>8+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Proficient in validating dimensions (total tolerances &gt;/=.005&rdquo; with minimal GD&amp;T validation)</li>
<li>Experienced with standard hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)</li>
<li>Knowledgeable in the use of computers and/or tablets</li>
<li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S.</li>
<li>Must be willing to undergo a background check</li>

<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>

Quality Inspector - Mechanical - Level 2

<div>We're actively seeking a <b>Quality Mechanical Inspector</b> for an immediate opening in <b>Miami, FL</b>. This is an up to <b>6-month contract</b> position with potential for extension. The role is <b>full-time on second shift (3pm- 11:30pm),</b> Monday through Friday. We are looking for associates with strong precsion hand tool experience and the willingness to learn AS13001 standards.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities:
</b></h3><ul><li>Conduct visual, physical, and dimensional inspections (both in-process and final) of machined parts, per project specifications and requirements</li>
<li>Perform incoming inspections from external providers of products and services</li>
<li>Conduct in-process and final inspections of critical features, including witness inspections</li>
<li>Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages</li>
<li>Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology is in line with drawing intent</li>
<li>Review and validate the justification for parts not inspected at final inspection</li>
<li>Audit and validate the execution of inspection plans as applicable</li>
<li>Document non-conformances using approved methods and submit non-conformance reports for customer disposition</li>
<li>Work within the Quality Management system and undergo basic training on policies and procedures</li>
<li>Document inspection results in our record retention system</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications:
</b></h3><ul><li>Previous mechanical inspection experience</li>
<li>Experience with AS9102 (FAI)</li>
<li>Experience with Certification of Conformance</li>
<li>Knowledge of GD&amp;T and inspection methodologies</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocols</li>
<li>Experience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipment</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively within a quality management system</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications:
</b></h3><ul><li>Certified or previously certified in GD&amp;T ASME Y-14.5</li>
<li>Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering</li>
<li>Knowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing</li>
<li>5 years of experience in Manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector</li>
<li>Experience with AS 1301 requirement ( Delegated Product Relief Release, DPRR)</li>
