Act as the <b>primary technical and coordination lead</b> with US teams.</li><li>

Technical Leadership&ndash; Data Centers</b></div><ul><li><div>
Support review of end-to-end design of data centers (concept to detailed design and construction support).</div></li><li><div>
Review the MEP, architectural, structural, civil aspects of data center projects.</div></li><li><div>
Review designs meet US codes/standards (IBC, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, Uptime concepts, redundancy N/N+1/2N).</div></li><li><div>
Review and approve drawings, calculations, and deliverables from Mumbai team.</div></li></ul><div><b>
Team Building &amp; Management</b></div><ul><li>
Hire, build, and grow a multidisciplinary team in Mumbai.</li><li>
Mentor and develop engineers and architects in data center and mission-critical design.</li><li>
Manage workload, quality, and performance of the Mumbai data center team.</li></ul><div><b>
US Coordination &amp; Project Delivery</b></div><ul><li>
Serve as key liaison with US-based project managers and technical leads.</li><li>
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data center design packages from the Mumbai office, ensuring on-time, quality deliverables.</li><li>
Coordinate schedules, deliverables, and quality expectations with US office.</li><li>
Support proposals, design narratives, and documentation for US data center clients.</li><li>
Implement processes, standards, and QA/QC for projects executed from India.</li></ul><div><b>
Practice &amp; Capability Development</b></div><ul><li>
Help establish the Data Center design capability within the Mumbai office as a long-term, scalable function supporting multiple projects.</li><li>
Contribute to development and refinement of internal design standards, libraries, and guidelines for data center projects.</li><li>
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data center design and bring this knowledge into the organization.</li><li>
Support internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Senior Lead– Data Center Design

Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end HV (high voltage) substation design (typically 69 kV&ndash;500 kV):<ul><li>
Primary: bus configurations (ring bus, breaker-and-a-half, double bus), equipment layouts, general arrangements, sections/elevations, equipment sizing and ratings (including BIL), conductor/busbar selection, lightning protection, insulation coordination.</li><li>
Secondary/Protection &amp; Control: SLDs/three-lines, protection one-lines, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, I/O lists, RTU/SCADA integration, points lists, relay logic/settings.</li><li>
Grounding/Earthing: ground grid design and studies (touch/step voltages), grounding plans and details.</li><li>
Auxiliary systems: station service AC, DC systems and battery sizing, charger selection, UPS as required.</li></ul></li><li>
Prepare technical specifications/datasheets and perform vendor bid evaluations for transformers, breakers, disconnects, instrument transformers (CTs/PTs/CCVTs), surge arresters, control panels, cables, raceways, and ancillary equipment.</li><li>
Perform and/or review power system studies: short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash (per NFPA 70E/IEEE 1584), load flow as applicable; contribute to insulation coordination and ferroresonance/temporary overvoltage assessments as needed.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with NEC (NFPA 70), NEMA standards, and NERC reliability and cyber requirements (e.g., PRC/CIP awareness for protection and SCADA).</li><li>
Coordinate multi-discipline inputs (civil/structural, telecom, automation) and interface with utilities, ISO/RTOs, and client engineering teams.</li><li>
Lead QA/QC reviews, check deliverables from junior engineers/designers, and enforce internal standards and best practices.</li><li>
Provide construction and commissioning support: respond to RFIs, review submittals, support FAT/SAT, and prepare as-built documentation.</li><li>
Support proposals/estimating, work plans, schedules, level-of-effort, and client presentations; contribute to standardization and process improvements.</li><li>
Mentor junior engineers and CAD/BIM designers; help build technical depth in the Mumbai team.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div><b>
What will you bring?</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering required; M.E./M.Tech preferred.</li><li>
12 -18 years of progressive experience delivering detailed design for US-based HV (high voltage) substations.</li><li>
Extensive hands-on experience in the production and verification of comprehensive design packages, including SLDs/three-lines, GA/layouts, sections, grounding, raceways, cable schedules, wiring/schematics, protection one-lines, BoMs, and study reports.</li><li>
Strong comprehension of protection schemes applicable to transmission and distribution substations, encompassing line, transformer, bus differential, distance, breaker failure, and reclosing, along with relay setting philosophies.</li><li>
Proficient in utility interconnection and familiar with standards set by major US utilities; skilled in interpreting and applying client design manuals.Exceptional communication abilities and experience in client interactions; adept at leading meetings, conducting design reviews, and addressing technical challenges.</li><li>

Must be adaptable to work during evening hours to ensure communication with stakeholders in the USA.</li></ul><div><b>
Strong command of NEC, NEMA, and NERC requirements; practical familiarity with:</b></div><ul><li>
IEEE/ANSI standards (e.g., IEEE 80/81 grounding and testing, ANSI C37 switchgear/breakers, IEEE 242/399 as applicable).</li><li>
NESC for substation clearances/approaches and interface with lines.</li><li>
NFPA 70E for arc-flash safety labeling and boundaries.</li><li>
Experience with NERC PRC (for instance, PRC-005, PRC-023, PRC-027) compliance implications related to protection design and documentation; knowledge of NERC CIP considerations for substation networks and SCADA systems.</li><li>
Proficient understanding of IEC 61850, DNP3, and the relay families from SEL, GE, and Siemens, along with their configuration tools.</li><li>
Capability to execute SEL Relay Programming is considered an advantage.</li><li>
Familiarity with renewable interconnections, battery energy storage systems, and utility-scale collector substations.</li><li>
Knowledge of US ISO/RTO processes (such as PJM, MISO, ERCOT, CAISO) and specific substation standards for utilities.</li><li>
Previous experience in an EPC environment and exposure to construction and commissioning activities.</li></ul><div><b>

Design electrical systems for data centers with optimized PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), including power distribution strategies from utility service to IT equipment compliant with U.S. standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, TIA and uptime institute standards).</li><li>
Develop single-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment sizing calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc-flash studies, and electrical layouts using tools like ETAP, SKM, &amp; Revit.</li><li>
Develop specifications for electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, emergency power systems (MV / LV generators, UPS systems), busways, and PDUs</li><li>
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet client requirements, local codes, and sustainability goals.</li><li>
Review vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project timelines.</li><li>
Coordinate multi-discipline inputs (civil/structural, telecom, automation) and interface with utilities, and client engineering teams.</li><li>

Qualifications:
