In this position, you will lead high-profile pursuits from strategy through delivery&mdash;guiding cross-functional teams, shaping win strategies, and ensuring compelling, client-focused messaging. You&rsquo;ll work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, business development leaders, and senior leadership to align pursuit strategies with client needs and SSOE&rsquo;s differentiators. The ideal candidate should be graphically inclined to create aesthetically pleasing layouts in line with brand standards but also have a strong understanding of marketing concepts, including positioning, target markets, and strategy.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role goes beyond coordination, serving as both a partner and project manager to bring together diverse inputs, drive clarity, and elevate the quality and effectiveness of proposals and presentations across SSOE&rsquo;s key markets. We&rsquo;re looking for a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, and self-motivated.</div>

Responsibilities:

A Typical Day Might Include</b></div><ul><li>
Lead the development of complex, high-value proposals, presentations, and qualifications (PPQs) from opportunity identification through final submission.</li><li>
Facilitate opportunity review and kickoff meetings, defining pursuit strategies, win themes, and differentiators.</li><li>
Partner with operations and business development leadership to position SSOE competitively and align messaging with client priorities.</li><li>
Drive proposal schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability across multidisciplinary teams.</li><li>
Provide guidance and mentorship to marketing coordinators and support staff as needed.</li></ul><div><b>
PROJECT MANAGEMENT &amp; EXECUTION</b></div><ul><li>
Manage multiple concurrent pursuits across regions, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.</li><li>
Synthesize complex technical information into clear, compelling, and client-focused content.</li><li>
Lead the development of strategic messaging and proposal narratives that differentiate SSOE.</li><li>
Oversee the coordination, review, and production of final deliverables to ensure consistency and brand alignment.</li><li>
Coach and support presentation teams for client interviews and selection processes.</li></ul><div><b>
COLLABORATION &amp; CONTENT DEVELOPMENT</b></div><ul><li>
Interview technical staff and leadership to develop impactful project descriptions and case studies.</li><li>
Maintain and enhance resumes and qualifications for technical personnel.</li><li>
Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging.</li><li>
Support broader business development and marketing initiatives, including conferences and client engagement efforts.</li><li>
Utilize marketing systems and tools (e.g., Deltek) to track opportunities and maintain data accuracy.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling content.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to lead pursuit teams and develop strategic messaging and positioning.</li><li>

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.</li><li>

Bonus Points if You Have</b></div><ul><li>
5&ndash;10 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development&mdash;preferably in the AEC industry.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.</li><li>
Experience leading large, complex pursuits or proposals.</li><li>
Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems.</li><li>

</li><li>Work closely with fellow marketing team members to balance workload and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development&mdash;preferably in the AEC industry.</li><li>
Excellent writing / editing / proofreading skills.</li><li>
Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, detail and deadline-oriented environment.</li><li>
Exceptional organizational skills.</li><li>
Ability to work productively and independently under deadlines. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive team spirit.</li><li><b>
Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite&mdash;Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</b></li><li>
Associate Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar</li></ul><div><b>
