Job Description</div><div>
St. Cloud Technical &amp; Community College (SCTCC) is seeking qualified, student‑centered instructors to provide temporary teaching coverage during faculty sabbatical. These assignments offer the opportunity to support academic excellence, engage with motivated learners, and contribute to program continuity during the sabbatical period.</div><div>
This position represents SCTCC&rsquo;s commitment to serving its community by partnering and investing in students as they attain the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to serve the Saint Cloud and surrounding communities. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive curriculum and environment where students from our community will thrive. This position is a limited, part-time position teaching from January 6, 2027 to May 14, 2027. This position includes in person and online classes that can be split between candidates, teaching between 2 and 16 credits. Class times vary but are typically held Monday through Friday.</div><div>
Primary Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Facilitate student learning in both classroom and lab settings.</li><li>
Collaborate with colleagues and students, to cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment.</li><li>
Design and revise the curriculum to meet the needs of ever-changing Computer Systems Networking trends.</li><li>
Carries out SCTCC&rsquo;s Mission to &ldquo;provide the education, training, and support necessary for equitable participation in our society, economy, and democracy.&rdquo;</li><li>
Engage in college committees and activities in support of SCTCC&rsquo;s vision to serve as &ldquo;a community of learners rooted in meaningful relationships where everyone belongs and thrives.</li><li>
Provide holistic support designed to foster student success and the development of students&rsquo; engagement in lifelong learning.</li><li>

Initial Salary Placement Range:</div><div></div><div>
Salary ranges from $1379.50 to $2302.81 per credit, and is dependent on qualifications of candidate (Based upon qualifications, view <div>2024 - 2025 MSCF Contract</div> for additional information and number of credits assigned per semester. Number of credits to be covered:16 for Spring Semester 2027.</div><div></div><div>
Minimum Qualifications</div><div>
Education Requirement</div><ul><li>
Associate degree in a computer or information technology field.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Occupational Experience Requirement</div><ul><li>
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in networking, network administration, cybersecurity, or forensics.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Recency Requirement</div><ul><li>
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualification</div><ul><li>
Qualified Cisco Academy Instructor for one or more of the following Courses: IT Essentials; Introduction to Networks; CyberOps Associate</li><li>
Experience integrating simulation-based learning technologies into curriculum</li><li>
Teaching experience at the postsecondary level, preferably at a two-year college</li><li>
Prior experience using D2L Brightspace platform or equivalent information management system</li><li>
Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction and continuous improvement</li></ul><ul><li>
Ability to apply equity-minded practices to support the academic success and engagement of students from diverse backgrounds and with varied abilities and interests</li><li>
Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers</li><li>
Experience in curriculum development at the professional level</li><li>
Effective planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Bilingual/multilingual in Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities</li></ul><div></div><div>
Other Requirements</div><div>
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges &amp; Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State&rsquo;s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.</div><div>
