 Key Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Production Oversight:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Supervise and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing process to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and cost targets.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring the highest product quality and minimal downtime.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that all production processes comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Team Leadership &amp; Development:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production supervisors, operators, and other staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for performance improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure adequate training and skill development programs for production staff.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Quality Control &amp; Assurance:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement corrective actions when deviations from quality standards are observed.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Safety and Compliance:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that safety training is conducted for all staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate any safety incidents or accidents and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Cost Management:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Monitor and control production costs to maintain efficiency while ensuring product quality.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement measures to reduce waste, optimize energy consumption, and improve operational cost efficiency.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the effective use of resources (materials, labor, equipment) to maximize production output while minimizing cost.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Maintenance and Equipment Management:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure that plant equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operating at peak performance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule regular preventive maintenance and unplanned repairs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assess and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as necessary.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Continuous Improvement:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement, automation, and lean manufacturing practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead or participate in root cause analysis of production issues and develop corrective action plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall plant performance.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Reporting &amp; Communication:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics like output, efficiency, downtime, and quality.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate effectively with senior management, reporting on any critical issues or potential disruptions in the production process.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with other departments (logistics, procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth operations across the plant.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Technical Skills:
 
 
 Strong understanding of chemical production processes, plant safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
 
 
 
 
 Leadership:
 
 
 Proven track record of leading large, diverse teams, and driving change and operational improvements.
 
 
 
 
 Analytical Skills
 
 
 : Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and interpret operational data and financial reports.
 
 
 
 
 Communication:
 
 
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from front-line employees to executive leadership.
