If this describes you, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Transportation Engineer in our Chicago, IL office. You will provide engineering expertise on highway projects including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, and large, complex highway corridors.</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What You Will Be Doing:</b></h3><ul><li>
Perform plan development activities for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects such as horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination.</li><li>
Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, environmental studies, and designs for projects.</li><li>
Evaluate need for design changes and makes appropriate recommendations.</li><li>
Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual.</li><li>
Submit documents to federal, state, and local agencies for code compliance review and obtain permits when required.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required Qualifications:</b></h3><ul><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.</li><li>
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.</li><li>
Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) license.</li><li>
Experience with Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway design requirements, policies, and procedures.</li><li>
Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of project team to complete tasks.</li><li>
Working knowledge of roadway design software used to prepare engineering and design documents including Open Roads Designer (ORD).</li><li>
Knowledge of virtual collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Teams.</li><li>
Experienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.</li><li>
Proven communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.</li></ul><div><i>

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects in any of our Water offices.</div><div></div><div><br>
This individual will be responsible for the planning, design, construction, and project management of water resources and municipal utility infrastructure, including drinking water sources, distribution systems, storage facilities, wastewater systems, and water treatment projects from technical development through construction services.</div>

What You Will Be Doing:</b></h3><ul><li>
Leading team delivery of drinking water projects including evaluation and detailed design of intake structures, surface and ground water treatment plants, water reuse systems, storage, pumping, and transmission and distribution projects.</li><li>
Preparing master planning reports and documentation required for grants and loans.</li><li>
Self-motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations.</li><li>
Ability to articulate and operate within the One Water paradigm.</li><li>
Integration of smart water systems, process automation, and machine learning into overall water production and distribution design.</li><li>
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and other applicable engineering design tools.</li><li>
Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&amp;C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications.</li><li>
Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.</li><li>
Providing marketing, technical leadership, and support during the procurement and execution of projects.</li><li>
Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.</li><li>
Assisting clients with permitting, property acquisition, and stakeholder involvement.</li><li>
Successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams.</li><li>
Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.</li><li>

Required Qualifications:</b></h3><ul><li>

Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and/or Wisconsin network of water/wastewater connections.</li><li>
Regional expertise in one or more areas of water supply, treatment, storage, and/or distribution technical expertise.</li><li>
Active participation in professional organizations.</li><li>
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Excellent technical writing skills.</li><li>
