What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a relevant field OR</li><li>
AA degree in a related mental health field and one (1) year experience in a relevant field.</li><li>
Relevant [field] experience refers to experience working with severely emotionally disturbed children and/or adults in an inpatient or outpatient setting, hospital setting, or setting where safety and security were the primary focus.</li><li>
Valid California Driver's License and clear DMV printout preferred.</li><li>
Valid CPR/BLS certification.</li><li>
Valid Security Guard Registration with California BSIS (Bureau of Security and Investigative Services) OR commitment to register as a Security Guard with California BSIS within 90 days of employment required.</li></ul></div><div>
How you will make a difference (Job Overview):</div><div>
The Safety Specialist is responsible for providing a high level of customer service through maintaining a safe environment for all clients, visitors, staff and physicians. This care is provided through direct and indirect physical and verbal interactions with clients, modeling appropriate behaviors for clients, and monitoring daily client activities. She/he screens incoming clients/visitors for contraband and inventories all client property as well as monitoring surveillance equipment. The Safety Specialist controls access to the center, answers/directs incoming clients, conducts physical security checks of the center grounds, and responds to fires and/or emergencies at the center. Maintains vigilance over the general milieu within the facility to facilitate quality client care, optimum facility operations and preserve the safety of all therein.</div><div>

What you bring to SBHG:<ul><li>Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age</li><li>Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.</li><li>Associate degree, preferred.</li><li>One (1) year of service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred.</li><li>One (1) year of medication administration experience is required.</li><li>Valid California LVN or LPT license.</li><li>Current CPR certification</li><li>First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.
</li></ul>How you will make a difference:
The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications and supervising nursing activities performed by professional and para-professional nursing personnel on the unit. Duties include Ordering, preparing, administering, and documenting the administration of medication for clients according to physicians&rsquo; orders. Confirming delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy on shift worked. Communicating pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members. Responsible for writing a weekly summary on the client as assigned. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for the shift worked. The job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
Division/Program Overview:<ul><li>The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility.</li><li>Designed to help adult residents, ages 18-59, who experience a psychiatric crisis to safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to community.</li></ul>
Services include:<ul><li>24/7 Program</li><li>Therapeutic and mental health services</li><li>Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services</li><li>Pre-vocational or vocational counseling</li><li>Medication evaluation and support services</li><li>Daily exercise and health/wellness education</li><li>Crisis intervention</li></ul>
