The Regional Sales Manager &ndash; Middle East is responsible for commercial development and customer satisfaction across the GCC region. The role drives sales of equipment, spare parts, consumables and technical support, while ensuring structured account management and strong in person presence at key aluminium smelters and casthouse operations. Working closely with STAS headquarters in Quebec, the Middle East Service Centre, agents and technical representatives, the Regional Sales Manager strengthens STAS long term market position in the GCC by building relationships, developing a high quality pipeline and ensuring effective execution support for customers. 
 
As Regional Sales Manager, middle east, you will own commercial development and customer satisfaction for a portfolio of aluminium smelters and casthouse operations in the GCC. You will grow sales of STAS equipment, spare parts, consumables and technical support, while managing local agents and coordinating closely with the Middle East Service Centre and STAS headquarters in Quebec. You will maintain a structured pipeline, ensure CRM discipline, provide reliable forecasts and act as the primary commercial interface for customers in the region.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Sales Development &amp; Account Management<ul><li>
Develop, maintain, and grow sales of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services across GCC smelters and casthouses.</li><li>
Ensure customer satisfaction through site visits, follow-up, and clear communication.</li><li>
Identify short- and mid-term opportunities, including pre-approved projects and future CAPEX or service needs.</li></ul>
Agent &amp; Representative Management<ul><li>
Manage local agents and technical representatives.</li><li>
Set objectives, review performance, and ensure alignment with STAS strategy and CRM reporting.</li></ul>
Opportunity Management, CRM &amp; Forecasting<ul><li>
Maintain updated opportunity pipeline and stakeholder information in CRM.</li><li>
Provide reliable sales forecasts and regular pipeline updates for HQ visibility.</li></ul>
Customer Interaction &amp; Technical Follow-up<ul><li>
Conduct site visits, technical discussions, and customer training.</li><li>
Perform basic equipment checks and coordinate technical support with the Middle East Service Centre and Quebec HQ.</li></ul>
Market Intelligence &amp; Logistics Support<ul><li>
Stay informed on regional procurement, contractors, EPC structures, and tender practices.</li><li>
Participate in industry events and support local warehousing or spare parts logistics.</li></ul>

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education &amp; Certification: Technical diploma or engineering education from a recognized institution, preferably related to industrial, mechanical, electrical or process fields or relevant experience in the market.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of business development and account management experience in the GCC aluminium industry. 
Strong understanding of smelting, casthouse, melt treatment and equipment life cycle support. 
Technical &amp; Commercial Skills: Strong understanding of industrial equipment sales, installed base follow up and aftermarket development. Familiarity with GCC industrial procurement, tenders, contractor and EPC structures. Strong CRM habits, forecast accuracy and structured reporting approach.
Languages: Bilingual English and Arabic (asset), spoken and written
Behavioral Skills: Ability to work autonomously while coordinating closely with HQ and service teams.High professional integrity, cultural awareness and customer focused mindset. Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and commercial audiences. Structured, disciplined and comfortable with travel and time spent at customer sites.</div>

The Field Service Engineer &ndash; Middle East acts as the local technical extension of STAS in the GCC region. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of STAS equipment at customer sites by delivering high quality field service, troubleshooting, commissioning and technical support. In close collaboration with the Service Manager, the Regional Sales Manager and the Middle East Service Centre, the Field Service Engineer protects STAS technical reputation, supports customer satisfaction and contributes to business growth through identification of service, parts and retrofit opportunities. 
As a Field Service Engineer &ndash; Middle East, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning and maintaining STAS equipment at aluminium smelters and casthouses across the GCC. You will act as the local technical face of STAS, working closely with the Service Manager in Canada and the Middle East Service Centre to plan interventions, provide technical expertise, train customer teams and identify opportunities for improvements, upgrades and spare parts. 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Service and Commissioning<ul><li>
Troubleshoot, commission, inspect, and maintain STAS equipment at GCC smelters and casthouses.</li><li>
Perform diagnostics, calibrations, and PLC/HMI programming.</li><li>
Support start-up, optimization, and stabilization after new installations or upgrades.</li><li>
Conduct customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.</li><li>
Participate in technical reviews and knowledge sharing with the global service network.</li></ul>
Planning, Coordination, and Documentation<ul><li>
Coordinate and execute planned service interventions with clear scope and preparation.</li><li>
Adapt to on-site constraints while keeping stakeholders informed.</li><li>
Prepare detailed service reports with equipment condition, actions, and recommendations.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records and CRM data.</li></ul>
Customer Interface, Commercial Support, and STAS Representation<ul><li>
Support Regional Sales Manager in technical discussions, visits, and follow-ups.</li><li>
Identify technical improvements, retrofit opportunities, and service/spare parts needs.</li><li>
Assist with spare parts logistics to minimize downtime.</li><li>
Maintain professional image, technical credibility, and clear communication.</li></ul>
Continuous Improvement and Service Offer Development<ul><li>
Participate in technical reviews and post-service debriefs.</li><li>
Contribute to improving service procedures, checklists, and documentation.</li><li>
Support testing and validation of new or upgraded STAS technologies.</li></ul>

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering (automation, electrical, mechanical, or related field) or Post-secondary technical/vocational diploma (2&ndash;3 years) in industrial maintenance, automation, electrical, or mechanical, with solid field experience.
Technical Skills 
Strong understanding of process equipment, automation systems, instrumentation, and control logic. Ability to read and interpret electrical, automation, and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with GCC industrial safety practices and plant access requirements.
Language 
Bilingual in English and Arabic, spoken and written.
Experience 
5&ndash;10 years of field service experience on industrial equipment, preferably in aluminium smelting or casthouse operations. Proven track record in troubleshooting and commissioning automated process equipment. Experienced with industrial PLC and HMI systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or equivalent).</div>
