Southcoast EMS is looking for a Dispatch Supervisor for our main location in Dartmouth, MA area.STAT Southcoast Emergency Medical Services is a growing, locally owned and managed company! We provide non-emergency and emergency medical transportation for the Southeastern, MA region.In this position you will be responsible for supervising employees for dispatch services and for assuring that safety remains the highest priority.Dispatcher Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks</li><li>Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching</li><li>Provide professional and courteous service while receiving incoming calls from the public or other public safety entities requesting emergency and non-emergency assistance.</li><li>Answers phone and radio calls in the most appropriate, safe, and efficient manner.</li><li>Prioritize non-emergency requests for services based on available resources, locations, and contracts.</li><li>Monitor multiple computer screens, radios, and phone calls simultaneously.</li><li>Able to maintain good judgement during busy and/or stressful periods.</li><li>Completes all appropriate paperwork and logs.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications and Certifications:<ul><li>Previous supervisory experience required (EMS preferably)</li><li>Previous public safety or EMS dispatching experience required</li><li>Thorough knowledge of the Southeastern, MA region</li><li>Exceptional multitasking capability</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and appropriately</li><li>Ability to remain calm during busy and stressful times and calls</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>CPR/1st Aid Certification Preferred</li><li>Other trainings and certification as needed.</li></ul>This is a full time position with occasional overtime.
